2:122 “ O’ Descendents of Israel! Remember My Grace that I
bestowed on you and that I, indeed, made you superior in the
world.” (See also 2:40,47,211;45:16)
2:123 “ And fear the Day (of Judgement), when (a) no will
benefit the other, (b) nothing will be accepted about him,
(c) no intercession will benefit him, and (d) that they will not
be supported (there).” (See Commentary on 2:48 before)

1. The People of the Book refused to believe (in Islam), although they gave a witness to the fact that the (Last) Messenger was really a true Messenger… (3:86)

3. The Holy Prophet
said:
“…A person from the People of the Book,
who believed (in his Prophet) and also believed in me (Muhammad-
peace be upon him) will get the double reward…” (Bukhari:2849,97)*
4. The intercession of the previous Prophets will not help the People of the Book. The only way for them to avoid Hell is to believe in Islam.
5. The next Verses state that Prophet Ibrahim, honored by the People of the Book prayed for the birth of the Last Prophet in Mecca (Arabia).
