2:119-123 BELIEF IN THE HOLY PROPHET
& AL-QURAN
2:119 “ In deed, We have sent you (Holy Prophet!) with truth for
giving happy news (of Paradise) and as a Warner (about Hell);
and you will not be asked about the people of Hell.”
(See also 35:21,24;33:45;48:8)
2:120 “ And the Jews as well as Christians will never be pleased
with you ( O’ Muslim), unless you follow their people (religion).
Say: (Holy Prophet!) ‘ Indeed, the Guidance of Allah is the real
Guidance; and if you follow their desires after the
knowledge (of Islam) has come to you, there will then be neither
any friend nor any supporter to save you from Allah.”
2: 121 “ Those (God fearing people), whom We granted the Book
(the Torah & Injeel or the Gospel), recite (and act upon) it,
as it deserves; they are (,in fact,) the people, who believe
in Al-Quran. And those, who reject it (Al-Quran), they are
surely in a disadvantageous position.”
OR (this Verse means)
“ They (true Muslims) whom We have granted the Book (Al-
Quran), recite (and act upon) it, as it deserves; they are, in fact,
the people who believe in it (Al-Quran). And those who reject
it (Al-Quran), they are surely in a disadvantageous position.”
