2. The Holy Quran further stated:
ȁ Withdraw your hands (and do not fight until you are prepared) and
establish prayers & pay zakat.” (4:77)
3. The Muslims were commanded to keep themselves ever ready against their enemy with all the might and equipment, as mentioned in 8:60
4. The Muslims were then permitted to fight , since they were greatly oppressed, as mentioned in 22: 39-41.
5. Jihad was finally made obligatory as commanded below:
a) “ Fighting has been made obligatory for you, though you may
hate it…” (2:216)
b) “ If they fight you, you must also fight them…”(2:191)
[ In otherwords, you must not initiate fighting. ]
c) The Muslims were also commanded to liberate the Muslims living under the cruel rule of the non-believers.
The Holy Quran commands:
& What is the matter with you that you do not fight in the Way of Allah
as well as for (liberating) the weak (and downtrodden) men, women
and children…” (4:75)
The Holy Quran commands further:
d) “ And fight them till there is no more trouble (Fitnah) and the
religion is entirely for Allah (8:39) (Bukhari:2804,26)
The Holy Prophet
said:
a) “O’ People! Do not wish to face the enemy, and pray to Allah for
tranquility; but if you (are forced to) face them, show perseverance,
and know that the Paradise is under the shadow of swords.”
(Bukhari:2804)
b) “ To perform Jihad in the Way of Allah, and to believe in Allah are
the best deeds.” (Muslim-Mishkat:3629)
c) The Holy Prophet
stated the following deeds as the best deeds in order merit:
i) To believe in Allah & His Messenger (Muhammad-peace be upon him).
ii) To perform Jihad in the Way Allah.
iii) Hajj Mabrur (i.e. the Pilgrimage without sin).
