[NOTE: The Verse 3:187 states that the People of the Book were commanded through a promise to state clearly to the people about the coming of the Last Prophet and do not conceal the facts, but they threw back their promise. (The Noble Quran)]

The Belief in Angels

1. Here Al-Quran indicates the strange psychology of the Jews, who became enemy of Angel Gibraeel, since he revealed Al-Quran to our Holy Prophet. Al- Quran states: " ( It is) the trustworthy Spirit (Gibraeel) (who) revealed it (Al-Quran) to your heart (Holy Prophet)…” (26:193,194)

2.To believe in the angels is an important element of faith. Al-Quran states:

…And who so ever refutes Allah, His Angels, His Books, His

Messengers, and the Last Day, he surely went astray to the

farthest extent.” (4:136)

About the Elements of Faith (Ima’n) the Holy Prophet said:

[In response to a question by Gibraeel about fiath (Ima’n), the Holy Prophet responded in the presence of his companions:]

“ To believe in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers,

the Last Day, and Al-Qadr (pre-established Ordainment).”

(Muslim-Mishkat:1) (See also Bukhari:50)

NOTE: The next Verses state another dark chapter of the history of Jews, who indulged in sorcery, after failing to face the world with courage.
