2:79 "It is regretted that they (i.e. the Jewish scholars) write the Book
with their hands, and then state that it is from Allah, so as to
purchase with it a little (and useless) price. It is (further)
regretted what their hands have written, and what they earn.”

1. Distortion of the Torah:
The Jews distorted the words of Torah and tried to remove from it the qualities of our Holy Prophet. They also twisted their tongues while reciting the Torah, so as to give a new meaning to the words. The Holy Quran states:
“ Indeed, amongst them (i.e. the Jews) there is a group, who twist their tongues in order to distort the meaning of the Book (Torah) so that you may think that such words have been derived from the Book, whereas they are not from the Book.” (3:78)
2. Warning to the Jews:
The Jews twisted their tongues for ridiculing our religion and our Holy Prophet (God forbid). The Holy Quran gave them a strict warning on such a rudeness by stating that they must accept Islam, before their faces are twisted backward. (See 4:46,47). On such a warning, the important Jewish scholars immediately accepted Islam, fearing Almighty Allah.
3.Our Holy Prophet in theTorah: As stated by Abdullah bin Amr A’as, the qualities of our Prophet mentioned in the Torah coincide with those in Al-Quran such as Shahid, Mubashshir, Nazir, Ummi, Abd, Rasool, Al-Mutawakkil etc. (Bukhari:2018)(See Al-Quran 33:45;7:157;5:15;25:1;3:159)
