4. The Best Life: It appears then that the hearts of the Jews became rigid, whereas the rigid bodies like stones crumble with the fear of Allah. It means that the fear of Allah reconditions the life. Greater the fear of Allah, better the life. The best type of life was, thus, of the Prophets, and after them of Siddiqeen, Martyres, and Sa’liheen. (See 4:69) Our Holy Prophet injected entirely a new wave of life in his companions, and granted them the best as well as the optimum parameters of living. [Please refer to 8:24 & 2:143]

2:75-79 CHANGES IN THE TORAH

2:75 "Do you (O’ Muslims!) still hope that they (i.e. the Jews of

rigid hearts) will believe (in Islam), though a group of theirs

heard the Words of Allah, but then they altered them

deliberately, after clearly understanding them?”

2:76 "And when they meet the Muslims, they tell them that they

believe; But when they see one another in solitude, they say:

Why do you indicate to the Muslims (the qualities of Prophet

Muhammad *-peace be upon him) what Allah has uncovered

for you (in the Torah); in this way, they will present it as a

proof against you before their Lord ? Don’t you understand?”

(* See the Noble Quran)

2:77 "Don’t they (i.e. the Jews) know that, indeed, Allah knows all

that they conceal, and what they say openly.”

2:78 "And amongst them are the illiterates, who don’t understand

the Book (Torah), except that they have attached some false

hopes with it and have fabricated false ideas about it.”
