12. It indicates the manners of praying to Allah Almighty. By reciting the first four Verses of Al-Fatiha, a person glorifies, praises and dignifies Allah before requesting Him to guide to the Straight Path.
13. The Holy Prophet narrated:
“Allah says: ' I have divided the prayers between Myself and My slave.…When he recites:’Al-Hamdu………….(1:1), he praises Me; when he says:’Ar-Rehman…(1:2), he glorifies Me; when he recites:’ Malik…(:3)he dignifes Me;But the recitation of:’ Iyyaka……..(1:4) is between Me and him and also about which he requested. And when he recites:’Ihdi…………..(1:5 to 1:7), it is exclusively for my servant about which he requested.”

1:1 THE PRAISE
“ The praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe.”

1. Al-Hamd means ‘the praise’ and ‘Rabb’ means ‘the Lord, the Sustainer, the Provider’
The Holy Quran states:
a) “ The praise be to Allah, the Lord of the heavens as well as
the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of the entire Universe.
And to Him belongs all the Greatness in the heavens and earth;
And He is the All-Powerful, the All-Wise.” (45:36,37)
b) “Indeed, Allah is Ar-Razzaq (the Provider, the Sustainer-
with all the Power and Control.” (51:58)
2.Almighty Allah created the resources for the benefit of mankind, and taught them the right way of living in this world (Shariah i.e. Al-Quran & Sunnah).
