The Holy Quran further states:

Ȋnd for those, who stick to the Book (i.e. the Torah) (and act on

its Commandments, particularly about the belief in the Last

Prophet),and establish prayers, We will not destroy the reward

of such pious people.” (7:170)

NOTE :

The congregational prayers are 27 times more rewarding than the individual prayers. (Bukhari:619). Again, it may be noted that the Holy Prophet was so offended with the absentees from the congregational prayers that he intended to burn their houses. (Bukhari:618)

5. As for the (religious) scholars, mentioned in 2:44 above, who order others to do good, but they themselves forget about it, the Holy Prophet observed on the ‘Night of Me’raj’ that such type of people from his ummah were cutting their lips with the scissors of fire. (Mishkat:4920)

2:47,48 INTERCESSION (SHAFA’T)

2:47 "O’ Descendents of Israel! Remember My Grace that I

bestowed upon you, and that I made you, of course,

superior to others in the world.”

2:48 "And fear the Day (of Judgement) when :

i) no one will benefit the other,

ii) no intercession will be accepted about him,

iii) no compensation will be taken from him, and that

iv) they will not be helped (there)

I) NO INTERCESSION FOR THE NON BELIEVERS:

1. The Jews thought that their Prophets will intercede for them on the Day of Judgement and that they do not have to accept Islam. This has been rejected above in2:48 .
