NOTE THAT

ALMIGHTY ALLAH CREATED ADAM WITH HIS OWN HANDS (38:75), whereas He created the other creature with His Word ‘kun’ (i.e. be), and it happens or begins to happen. (36:82)

THUS THE CREATION OD ADAM WAS AN HONOURABLE CREATION.

III) PROPHET ADAM PASSED THE TEST:

i) Prophet Adam , of course, became successful in the test, since He repented to Almighty Allah (unlike the devil) on forgetting His Commandment about the tree.

Al-Quran states:

“…Adam forgot (the Commandment), and We did not find any

intention on his part (to disobey).” (20:115)

ii) Al-Quran further states that there is no sin if you forget, but it will be a sin, if you do it with the intention emerging from your hearts.(33:5)

NOTE: Prophet Musa (Moses) forgot his commitment that he made with (Prophet) Khidr and was thus not to be questioned, as he said to him: “Do not make me responsible in the matter, wherein I forgot.”(18:73). Again, in this regard,

THE HOLY POPHET SAID:

“ If any body, while fasting, just by mistake, eats or drinks, he must

complete his fast, since it is Allah who feeds him..(Bukhari:1831).

iii) Almighty Allah selected Adam and accepted his repentance…(20:122)

IV) THE DESCENT OF ADAM ON EARTH:

The descent of Prophet Adam on earth does not carry loss of honor on his part on the following grounds:

i) Almighty Allah created Adam so as to make him the caliph on earth. Apparently, the descent of Adam on earth took place after he tasted the forbidden tree. (2:30-39;7:22-24;20:121-123)

ii) The descent of Prophet Adam on earth took place on Friday, which is the superior most Day. The Holy Prophet said:

“ Friday is the chief of all the Days; and it is quite great before Allah (Almighty).

It is even greater (superior) than I’d-ul-Fitr and I’d-ul-Adh… Allah created

Adam on this Day, brought him down on earth on this Day, gave him death

on this Day… (Mishkat:1284)

iii) The Holy Prophet said further:

“ The best Day in which the sun has appeared is Friday. Adam was created on this Day,

brought out from Paradise on this Day, and the Day of Judgement will not appear but

on Friday.” (Mishkat:1277)

NOTE: In the next Verses, a brief history of the Jews has been depicted. It is a story of their continuous disobedience which provides us a great lesson for mending our attitude so as to obey the Commandments of Almighty Allah.
