2:37 "Adam then got a few Words from his Lord such
that He (Allah) accepted His repentance. Indeed, He is
Most Forgiving, Most Merciful ”.
2:38 "We commanded: ‘All of you get down from here; and when
ever comes to you from Me the Guidance, then those who
follow My Guidance, they will not have any fear nor any
grief.’”
2:39 "And those, who disbelieve and refute Our Verses, they are
(really) the people of Hell, where they will live for ever.”

THE TESTS
The angels and Prophet Adam passed the test, whereas Satan (the devil) not only failed, but ridiculed Adam and the Commandments of Allah.
I) THE ANGELS PASSED THE TEST:
The angels accepted the superiority of Adam with regard to his knowledge and prostrated before him, as a sign of respect, on the Commandment of Almighty Allah.
II) THE DEVIL RIDICULED:
The devil was proud of his creation from fire and considered it his insult to prostrate before Prophet Adam . Due to his disobedience, Almighty Allah expelled him from the Paradise. He considered him better than Adam.(7:12,13;15:33,34)
