2:30-33 THE CALIPHATE

2:30 "And when your Lord (Holy Prophet) said to the angels: ‘Indeed,

I am deputing a Caliph on earth.’ They submitted: ‘ Will you

depute him, who will create trouble , and cause bloodshed,

whereas, We glorify you with all the praise and submit to Your

Sacredness.’ Allah (Almighty) replied: “ I, indeed, know which

You do not know.”

2:31 "He (Allah) then taught Adam all the names and brought him

before the angels, and said: ‘ Let Me know the names of all

things, if you are true (in your opinion about Adam).”

2:32 "They Submitted: ‘You are exalted (and glorified). We know

nothing, except that which You taught us. Surely, You are

All-Aware and All-Wise.”

2:33 "He then ordered Adam to inform them about the names of the

things. And when Adam informed the angels about such things,

He said: “ Did not I tell you that , indeed, I know the secrets of

the heavens and earth, and that I also know which you say

openly and which you have been concealing.”
