NOTE:

Apart from Al-Quran, the Holy Prophet exhibited other miracles.

5. THE MIRACULOUS FACTS OF AL-QURAN:

I) PREDICTIONS:

a) After the humiliating defeat of Romans, Al-Quran announced their victory over their enemy (Persians) in the next few years.(30:2-5)

b) Al-Quran gave the happy news to the Muslims ahead of time about their victory in the battles of Badr, Mecca etc. (8:7;33:27;48:1,20,27)

c) Al-Quran gave the news of the establishment of Caliphate by the Muslims in the years to come. (24:55)

d) Al-Quran predicted that the People of Book will not be able to

inflict defeat to the Companions of the Holy Prophet.(3:111).

II) SCIENTIFIC FACTS: [Such facts were not known before]

i) Al-Quran stated the stages of creation of a human being in the womb of mother i.e.

a) conversion of the mixed male and female drops into a clot of blood .

(b) conversion of the clot of blood into a tiny piece of flesh.

(c) conversion of flesh into bones with a covering of flesh…(See 23:13,14)

[Note: THE HOLY PROPHET indicated the period of each stage of creation as 40 days with a total of 120 days for the three stages, before the living soul is breathed into the body.(Al-Bukhari:3036)]

ii) Al-Quran stated the solid scientific fact that every living being has been created from water. (21:30;24:45;25:54)

iii)Al-Quran stated that Almighty Allah has created pairs including an agricultural plant. (36:36;43:12;50:7;51:49;53:45;42:11;13:3)

iv)Al-Quran indicated the epicyclic movement of the sun and moon (as well as the other planets). (36:38:40)

v)Al-Quran stated that the jinns and human beings cannot cross the the influential zones of the heavens and earth, but by exerting a great force. (55:33) [ For example, for a rocket to enter into space , it has to move out with a great force and speed against the pull of gravity of earth.] etc.

III) THE PENETRATION OF AL-QURAN INTO HEARTS:

1. Al-Quran creates a wave of fear in the hearts of the

believers and intensifies their faith (in Almighty Allah). (8:2)

2. It creates a shivering effect on God fearing people. (39:22)

3. The disbelieves created hindrance for the people so as not to listen

to Al-Quran , since it has a penetrating effect. (41:26)

4. It has been reported that Utba bin Rabia, who was a great leader and scholar of the disbelievers f Mecca, offered very attractive terms to the Holy Prophet on behalf of Quraish so as not to preach Islam. After Utba completed his talk, the Holy Prophet just recited the first few Verses of Chapter No. 41 of Al-Quran.Utba listened to it very attentively for the first and was greatly impressed by it.
