The Hypocrites or Munafiqeen are the most dangerous kind of Kuffa’r (disbelievers). Accordingly, they will be thrown in the lowest part of Hell. (4:145)
NOTE1:
The hypocrites lost their money in making conspiracies against the Holy Prophet, and were wiped ff.
NOTE2:
In the next Verses 2:17,18, the Holy Quran presents the living examples of 2 kinds f hypocrites: (1) those, who made conspiracy against the Holy Prophet and (2) those having unstable faith in Islam.
2:17-20 SIMILITUDE OF HYPOCRITES

(The first group of hypocrites, who recognized the Holy Prophet
but opposed him due to their selfishness and prejudicial feeling):
Their example is like a person, who lit the fire, and when every
thing was illuminated (i.e. the Holy Prophet and Al-Quran
illuminated their hearts), Allah (Almighty) (due to their selfish-
ness) extinguished the light and left them in the darkness so that
they could see nothing. They are deaf, dumb and blind so as not
to return (to accept the light of Islam).”
