3:31,32 TO LOVE ALLAH, FOLLOW HOLY PROPHET

3:31 “ Say (Holy Prophet) (to all human beings): ‘ If you (really wish

to) love Allah, then follow me (i.e. follow Al-Quran & Sunnah), Allah will

love you and forgive you for your sins. And, indeed, Allah is Most

Forgiving, Most Merciful.’”*

3:32 “ Say (Holy Messenger): ‘ Obey Allah and the (Holy)

Messenger (Muhammad - peace be upon him)’. But if they turn away,

then Allah (of course) does not like the non-believers.”

‘ Allah’s Messenger! When will the Day of Judgement establish?’ The Holy Prophet said: “ How much preparation you have made for it?”The villager submitted: ‘ Allah’s Messenger! I have not put forth much (of the prayers, fast and charity), but I do love Allah and His Messenger.’ The Holy Prophet said: “ You will be with the one whom you love.” Anas stated: ‘ We never became so delighted (before) as with such a saying of the Holy Prophet’. (Bukhari:5815)

2. The Holy Prophet said:

a) “ None of you can be a believer unless I am loved by him more than his parents and the entire mankind. (Bukhari:15)

b) “ Indeed, you will be with the one (on the Day of Judgement) whom you love.” (Bukhari:5815)

c) “ Any one who has the (following) three qualities, he will find the sweetness of faith:

i) Allah & His Messenger are dearest to him more than any thing else.

ii) He loves any one for the sake of Allah only.

iii) He hates to go to the state of infidelity, as if he were thrown into fire.” (Bukhari:6542)

d) “ Whosoever wishes to love Allah & His Messenger or that Allah & His Messenger love him, he must speak the truth, pay off the trust honestly (or discharge his duty honestly) and prove to be a good neighbor.” (Baihqi - Mishkat:4771)

Note: In the next Verses, the central issue of Surah Aal-e-Imran i.e. the ‘false concept of trinity of God’, fabricated by the Christians has been taken up. In this connection, the events relating to the birth of Jesus Christ as well as his miracles and teachings have been stated The false innovations of the Christians in their religion were categorically refuted in such Verses, and the Holy Prophet was instructed to challenge them to come out with their family members to face the punishment from Allah, if they did not abandon their concept of ‘Trinity of God’. They, however, did not dare to accept the challenge.
