* The Witness: The Holy Quran states further in this regard:

a) “ …And who is more unjust than the person who conceals the

witness?…” (2:140)

b) “ O’ you who believe! Stand solidly for justice, as witness

for the sake of Allah, though it may be against yourselves

your parents, or your relatives…” (4:135)

(See also 25:72;65:2)

Note: The next Verse relates to accountability.

2:284 ACCOUNTABILITY

“To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth.* And if you

expose or conceal that is with you (in your breasts), Allah will have

its account from you. He may then forgive whom He wills, and may

punish whom He wills.** And Allah is All Powerful on every thing.”

*(See also 5:40) ** (See also 3:29,129)

The Holy Prophet said:

&#x Allah has forgiven (the people of) my Ummah in respect of their

thoughts in breasts, provided that they don’t act act upon it nor talk

about it.” (Bukhari:2391) (See also Bukhari:6287)

Note: In the next Verses, Almighty Allah certifies the sincere belief of the Holy Prophet and his Companions in Al-Quran.
