6) “And you must not hesitate to write down (the agreement) stating the time period, no matter whether the loan is small or big (otherwise, you may run into trouble).”

7) “This (written agreement) is quite useful in establishing justice for you before Allah, and preserves a solid record of witnesses, in addition to providing an easier method of protecting you from doubts (and confusion).”

8) “But if the commercial transactions that you make are on hand to hand basis, there is no harm if you don’t write it down.”

9) “And while making transactions (particularly the important ones), you must have the witnesses.”

10) “ But the writer and the witness must not be harmed. And if you do that, it will be a great disobedience on your part. So you must fear (the wrath of) of Allah”.

nd Allah teaches you (the right way of doing the things). And

Allah is All Aware of every thing.”

2:283 TAKING LOAN DURING JOURNEY

1. “And if you are on a journey, and you don’t find the writer, you (as

the borrower of money or as a buyer) must pledge some thing and

give its possession”.

2. “But if you trust each other, the person who is relied upon must

(honestly) pay off his trust; and he must fear Allah - his Lord.”

3. “And don’t conceal the witness; and any one who conceals it,* of

course, the conscience of such a person is guilty (sinful). And Allah

is All Aware of what you do.”
