2:282 WRITING THE LOAN

1) “ O’ you who believe! When you advance loan for a specified period of time, write it down; and that a writer must write it between you with justice. And (note that) the writer must not refuse to write which Allah has taught him; so he must write.”

2)

3) “ But if the borrower lacks intelligence ( or is unaware of judicial matters), weak / old, or incapable of giving dictation, his supporter (or his lawyer) must then dictate with justice.”

4) “And you must have two witnesses from your men. But if two (reliable) men are not available,* let there be a man and two women, with whom you are pleased (as the persons of integrity) for your witnesses so that if any of the two women errs, the other may remind (as well as correct, secure, and protect) the second one (so that she is not scared of people in such an important matter.”

* [Note: The Holy Prophet said: “ The examples of men are like

having 100 camels, when none of them is reliable for riding.”

(Bukhari:6133)]

5) “And the witnesses must not refuse, when called upon (to give their witness (considering it a great responsibility)”.
