2:258 NAMROOD TAGHUT
“ Have you not observed the one, who quarreled with Ibrahim about his Lord, whereas He granted him the kingdom. When Ibrahim said (to him): ‘ My Lord is He Who gives life as well as death.’ He (the king) said: ‘ I can (also) give life as well as death’. Ibrahim then said: ‘ Of course Allah raises the Sun from the East, so you raise it from the West’. The disbeliever lost his senses (and could not reply). And Allah does not guide ‘zalimun’ (who are unjust)”.
Note: In the next Verses 2:259,260, Al-Quran gives the historical
examples of the revival after death.
2:259,260 REVIVAL AFTER DEATH
2:259 “ Or (have you not observed) him who passed by a town in a state of its falling down over its roofs. He (on seeing that) said: ‘ How Allah will revive it after its destruction?’ Allah then gave him death for (full) 100 years and raised him again. He (Allah) (then) said (to him): ‘ For how long you stayed here?’ He submitted: ‘ I stayed here just for a day or a part of the day’. Allah said: ‘You stayed here (as dead) for 100 years. And (as a proof) look at your food and drinking material that they have not lost their freshness. And (also) look at your donkey (whose bones have scattered after its death). Now see how We gather the bones together and cover them with flesh.’ Then when that was clearly shown to him, he said: ‘ I have known (and understood) that, of course, Allah is All Powerful on every thing.”
