d) Our Holy Messenger (Muhammad - peace be upon him) was superior to all other Messengers and Prophets. For example:

i) He is the Last Messenger and the Last Prophet - for all times and for the entire universe. (33:40;34:28;25:1;5:3;6:115;21:107;38:87;6:91;15:9)

ii) The Book (Al-Quran) revealed to him is also for all times and for all mankind. (5:3;6:19,91,115;15:9;25:1;38:8

iii) The Holy Prophet said: “ I have been given superiority over the other Prophets in six aspects:

a) I have been granted the precise and comprehensive statements.

b) I have been assisted with awe (casting terror in the hearts of the enemy).

c) The war booty has been made lawful for me.

d) The earth has been made the mosque and purified for me.

e) I have been sent to the entire creature (as Messenger of Allah).

f) The Prophets have ended with me.” (Muslim – Mishkat:5501)

iv) The Holy Quran is a total miracle. The Holy Prophet said:

 Every Prophet was granted miracles to the extent that the people

could believe in him. But this Al-Quran is a total revelation

(total miracle i.e. its every Verse is a miracle), which Allah has

granted me. I am, therefore, hopeful (sure) that the number of my

followers will be greater than the number of the followers of the

other Prophets.” (Bukhari:4696,6846)

The Holy Prophet said:

a) “ …I say it without pride that (Prophet) Ibrahim was friend

of Allah, (Prophet) Musa was chosen by Allah, and I am

Habib (beloved) of Allah…” (Bukhari:5514)

b) “ I am the leader of the Prophets and Messengers, and I

am not proud of it. I am the Last Prophet, and I am not proud

of it. I will be the first to intercede as well as the first whose

intercession will be accepted, and I am not proud of it.”
