2:230 -232 THE THIRD DIVORCE BREAKS THE WEDLOCK
2:230 “And if he divorces her (the third time), then she is not lawful to him unless she marries another husband. Then if he (i.e. the other husband) also divorces her (normally), there is no harm for both of them, if they (i.e. the wife and her previous husband) marry again provided that they feel that they shall maintain the limits set by Allah. These are the limits of Allah, which He explains to those who have the knowledge.”
2:231 “And when you divorce* women, and after they complete the waiting time, either take them back in an appropriate manner or set them free appropriately (honorably). And don’t retain them just for hurting, as it will be a great injustice on your part.; and whosoever does it, he puts only himself to injustice. And don’t make a fun of the Verses (Laws) of Allah, but remember the Favor of Allah on you and that which He has sent down to you in the form of the Book (Al-Quran) and Al-Hikmah (i.e. the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet) by which He commands you. And fear Allah and know that Allah, of course, is All Aware of what you do.” *[i.e. it is not the third divorce (Zia-ul-Quran)]
2:232 “And when you divorce women, and they complete the waiting time, don’t prevent them from marrying their (former or new)* husbands upon whom they agree (to live) in an appropriate way. In it there is a lesson for him, who believes in Allah and the Last Day. This is more pure and clean for you. And Allah knows, whereas you just don’t know.”
