It may be noted clearly that in Islam, the standard of marrying a woman is not based upon her beauty, color, caste or creed, but on her religion and deeds. The Holy Prophet said:

a) “ A woman is married on the basis of her wealth, caste, beauty, and

religion.” He then warned that you must prefer her religion (Islam)

(over all other matters). (Bukhari & Muslim- Mishkat:2948)

b) “ The world is a total wealth, and the best wealth of the world is

the pious woman.” (Muslim-Mishkat:2949)

c) “ A believer after fearing Allah, has not received any thing better than

a pious wife.” ( Ibn Majah- Mishkat:2961)

d) “ When a person marries, half of his religion is completed; and

for the remaining half, he must fear Allah.” (Mishkat:2962)

2:222 MENSTRUATION

2:222 “They ask you about menstruation. Say: ‘ It is a harmful thing. So be away from (your) wives during menses, and do not draw unto them till they are purified. And when they are purified, then go to them, as Allah has commanded you (i.e. follow the natural way)’. Indeed, Allah likes those, who concentrate to Him in repentance, and who purify themselves (i.e. Allah likes those, who keep themselves not only externally purified, but also have purified thinking).”
