3) The Holy Prophet answered some questions relating to Jihad and others as below:

Question: ‘Which deed is the best?’

Answer: ‘To believe in Allah & His Messenger (Muhammad- peace be

upon him).

Question: ‘Which is the next best deed?’

Answer: “Jihad in the way of Allah.”

Question: ‘Which is next to it?’

Answer: “Hajj Mabroor (without sin).” (Bukhari: 26)

4) “A group of my Ummah will dominate for ever till the commandment of Allah comes (i.e. the Day of Judgement is established) and it will dominate till then (upto that day).”

5) Note: There are no deeds, which can substitute Jihad. (Bukhari:2633)

6) The Holy Prophet was asked: ‘who amongst the people is the best?’ He replied: “The man who participates in Jihad with his life and wealth, and the man who worships His Lord in one of the sides of a mountain and keeps the people away from his evils.” (Bukhari: 6129, 2634)

7) “Know that the Paradise is under the shadows of swords.” (Bukhari:2663)

8)“O’ people! Don’t wish to meet your enemy and ask Allah about tranquility. But if you meet the enemy, show perseverance and know that the Paradise is under the shadows of swords…” (Bukhari: 2861, 2862)

9) “…In the Paradise, there are one hundred top most grades, which have been exclusively reserved for Mujahideen (fighting) in the way of Allah…so when you ask Allah, ask Him(to grant) Al-Firdaus, which is the central and the best part of Paradise, above which is the Throne of (Almighty) Allah, and the rivers of Paradise flow from it.” (Bukhari:2637)

10) “The person whose feet are covered with dust, the fire (of Hell) will not touch him.”

(Bukhari: 1656)

11) “A person who dies when he neither participated in Jihad nor ever thought of it, he dies on one of the kinds of hypocrisy.” (Muslim-mishkat:3637)

12) “There are two eyes, whom the fire (of hell) will not touch: the eye that sheds tear with the fear of Allah, and the eye that watches (the enemy) in the way of Allah.”

(Tirmidhi- Mishkat:3651)

12) “ Nothing is so dear to (Almighty) Allah than the two drops:

(a) a drop of tear (flowing) with the fear of Allah, and

(b) a drop of blood that falls in the way of Allah.”

(Tirmidhi-Mishkat: 3659)
