2:209-211 DEVIATION FROM ISLAM-WARNING (CHANGING ALLAH’S FAVOR)
2:209 “ But if you deviate (from Islam) after the clear signs (Prophet Muhammad-peace be upon him, Al-Quran, Miracles, warnings) have come to you, then remember that, indeed, Allah is All Powerful (to punish you) and All-Wise (to delay such a punishment so that you may mend yourselves).”
2:210 “ Are they waiting for the time when (the torment of) Allah will appear to them in (the form of) the shadow of clouds, and the angels also (appear to them) so that their case (fate) is decided. And to Allah only the cases (matters) are put up (returned) (for decision).”
2:211 “ In this connection, you may ask the Descendents of Israel how many clear Signs (proofs, miracles, Verses, Shariah) We gave them (and blessed them with Our Favors, but they were ungrateful, and consequently, they were degraded and beaten down). And, whosoever changes Allah’s Favor (Shariah, Grace)** after it came to him, then, indeed, Allah is quite severe in imparting punishment.”

Changing Allah’s Favor:
**[ Al-Quran states also:
(a) “ …Allah will never change the Grace, which He has bestowed on a
people until they themselves change their own condition…” (8:53)
(b) “ Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they
themselves change their own condition ..” (13:11)
To Change Allah’s Favor (i.e. to set aside Al-Quran & Sunnah) means to invite Allah’s punishment.
The Holy Prophet
warned:
a) “ No nation breaks its commitment with Allah & His Messenger but
that their enemy is thrust upon them.” (Malik-Mishkat:5136 & Ibn
Hashsham, Vol.II, page 775)
