2:153-157 PERSEVERANCE, PRAYERS, TEST OF THE BELIEVERS
2:153 “ O’ You, who believe, seek assistance (of Allah) through perseverance
and prayers. In deed, Allah is with the people who show
steadfastness (in their belief).” (See also 2:45;8:45)
[Note: The holy Prophet offered (excessive optional) prayers, when ever he was confronted with a calamity. (Abu Daud-Mishkat:1249)]
2:154 “ And don’t call those as dead, who are killed in the Way of
Allah. They are, in fact, alive; but you just can’t comprehend.”

2:155 “ And We will, of course, test you from such things like fear,
hunger, and through loss of wealth, lives and (food) grains / fruits.
And give happy news to the people of perseverance.”
