Mega Man X7 for the PS2 on the way. It showed up at E3 2002, and though there was no playable demo, a short clip of gameplay was shown. Read below for everything regarding Megaman X7.

Game Information

Megaman X7 is in 3D, however it appears that the game is set on "rails" where the game propells you along a set path in the 3d world. There are 3 different camera angles you will be able to use, one of wich is rumored to be a side-scrolling veiw. Zero is back in this one, as the game incorpares a "double-hero" system in which two players can fight mavericks as X and Zero together. You will also be able to switch charecters in mid-stage, kind of like the switch attack in Megaman Xtreme 2.
Game Text (from the E3 Promo)

"Megaman X and his courageous pal, Zero are back in a new 3D adventure that propels the Megaman series into the future. Follow our two heroes as they battle monster machines and huge bosses in fully interactive, vast 3D worlds. 3 different camera veiws bring all the action to life. Take advantage of the new "Double Hero System"  where you and a freind can play together simeltaneously. Fight bosees copperatively, and execute the new change combo attack by switching charecters at any time. Megaman X7- the future is Now!
