When womb of this world thou shall leave
In a vast ground somewhere ye will reach
The plains being called an open arena of God
The place where prophets and holy saints board
One never gets tired or bored of visiting there
The ripe dates are not turned into dry bunch here (6)
Thou art here carrying burden of your sensations
Therefore you are lazy, dismal and withdrawn (7)
In sleep you are not the vehicle but the rider
Thou art at rest and there is no languor
The state of sleep is an example, quaint
Of the state of consciousness of a saint:

O insolent the friends of Allah are like 'Ashab-e-Kahaf'
Who are asleep whether they are stationary or moving!
Allah pulls them into action without any hesitation (8)
They are turned to 'left' or 'right' without any perception (9)
What is 'right self': good deeds in Allah's resignation?
What is 'left'? Preoccupation with bodily function

Even amidst of painful suffering or great difficulty
They are neither afraid nor distressed by the will of Almighty (10)
These feelings are but both human
But they are absolutely beyond its cognition
We may find prophets having these traits (11)
They are unaware of it like the echo in a place
If an echo rings your ear nicely in the mountain
The mountain is totally unaware, let's ascertain

Rumi tells us about the quality of the righteous:
They have totally submitted to the Will of Allah by resigning to His Laws in personal management of their reason and emotions. Hence, Allah has promised them that no evil shall touch them and they will neither loose hope nor joy in living.
