Divine Face Of Jalal ud Din Rumi
Bal'am Baur of Canaan
Notes
Balaam Baur hath won his peoples hearts
His people hath truly held him in Jesus regard
Not anyone but him they would counsel with
He would spiritually heal people, revive the spirit
His talent and pride would fight against Moses
Weve been told he was ruined and devastated

Millions of Balams and devils in this world are roaming
Some are famous and some infamous for their working
Allah hath given these two the fame extraordinary
So they must stand as evidence in human history
When dacoits are killed in the jungle by police
Dragged to the village are some of their corpses

Publicly in the village these corpses are hanged
The villagers must watch intently their bitter end
These two thieves God has hanged high in the world
Though like them have been abundant in the world
Their forelock has been the witness of their fate (1)
Eliminated by Divine Wrath none can enumerate

Thou art the beloved, but watch thy limits carefully
Enter not Gods domain; do not cross thy boundary
If thou had but challenged the Almightys trust
Thou to the lowest layer of earth He will thrust
Why the story in Quran of Aad and Thamud ?
So that you may learn whom Prophets valued

All these signs of swallowing, stoning and storm
Gods spirit of self-righteousness do they adorn
When it is lawful to kill animals for human beings
For Khalif can be murdered thus all human beings
(1)Ibn Arabi has told us in Fusus that Hazrat Hud told him There is no creature He does not hold by the forelock. My Lord is on a Straight Path." (11:56) Click for Detail....

Balaam Baaur was a pious man. He lived in Canaan in the city of Jabreen, when Joshua at command of Moses had attacked Canaan. The citizens of Jabreen had pleaded before him that he must pray for the retreat of Joshua. He had prayed for the defeat of the attackers, but it did not happen as Allah had not willed so. Therefore in state of jealousy and revenge he turned against Bani Israeel. He conspired against him and encouraged the army to indulge in adultery. One of the commanders committed adultery, the rest followed him. It had been cause of plague which had killed thousands of people in the region.

Though Qazi Sajjad had told us that Moses attacked Canaan, but there is no evidence of this sort in Quran or in history. So Moses represents truthfulness of Moses religion. Rumi has repeated Quranic evidence many times that when nations do not regard adultery as sin and fornication as evil, they are destroyed with some plague or some other epidemic; even a natural catastrophe may befall them and destroy them.
It has been related that Balam and his friends were defeated and Balam had a very bad end. He had lost his consciousness and he would roam like mad and crazy persons on the streets of town panting and his tongue being hung out of his mouth like a dog....
A dog is always panting and its tongue is hanging out reflect its greed, similarly a worldly priest can never be satiated. Who is proud of his knowledge and does not submit before Divine knowledge. They misled people and are cause of their ruin and destruction. They distort and fabricate Divine Law and Allah says:
2:65. And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: We said to them: "Be ye apes, despised and rejected."
