| (1) Allah has said in Qur'an (62:5) "The similitude of those who were charged with the (obligations of the) Mosaic Law, but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is that of a donkey which carries huge tomes (but understands them not). Evil is the similitude of people who falsify the Signs of Allah. and Allah guides not people who do wrong." A man slave of deductive reason is like an animal: an animal is dependant upon its physical instincts for survival and human being upon his/her intellectual skills. An animal is uaware of Divine guidance...it has limited knowldge of instincts...but man is powered by intellect and supported by Divine Guidance. What is the Divine Intellect - supreme awareness? Moderately intelligent too enjoys consciousness Animals that enmity with human beings do breed Are lower in rank to beings his friends are indeed Their blood lawful unto human beings has been made Being aggressive towards superior intellect is their trade The men are permitted to slay them Because they hold no affinity to men The savage animals all their respect have lost Adversity to human beings them dearly hath cost Oh Fool! What respect you will enjoy in being Thou had joined hands with donkeys braying (1) The donkeys on special purpose are not slaughtered But those who become savage are slain not martyred Though the donkey is not wise knows not to abstain Still totally helpless by Wajud not rendered in disdain When a man turns against the teachings of Prophet My respected friend! May we regard him retarded? No doubt lawful is to shed the blood of transgressors Like beast they only surrender to bows and arrows It is lawful to take over their wives and children Ignorant of Divine Law they are cursed like Satan With supreme intellect of Prophets may conflict reason And is duly degraded from logic to animalism and passion (2) |
