| Assistant Professor (Docent) Aleksandra Arandjelovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia, on January 1st, 1958. She graduated in School of Medicine, University in Belgrade in 1982. In 1990. she has earned a M. A. degree, on the University in Belgrade. In 1994. she passed PhD final. In 1992. she passed specialist's examination in internal medicine, with excellent marks. In 1996. she became an Assistant on School of Medicine, University in Belgrade, Department of Internal Medicine. She became an Assistant Professor (Docent), at the same University in 2004. She is employed as a cardiologist in The Institute for the Cardiovascular Diseases, Clinical Centre of Serbia. She is specialized in echocardiography - intraoperative echocardiography, which was the topic of her doctoral dissertation. She spent six months, during 1991, in the best European school of echocardiography: Thoraxcenter - Rotterdam, The Netherlands. There she completed her knowledge and practice in echocardiography with the following procedures: tran-esophageal echocardiography and intraoperative epicardial echocardiography. Back in Belgrade, she became a pioneer of these two methods for the whole region of former Yugoslavia. Today these procedures are still part of routine protocols only in Clinical Centre of Serbia, for the whole region. |
