I am From by Niki Hoffman
Novels
I am from the clicking fingers as they dance across the board, the soft glow and flicker of unparalleled entertainment, and the lurking aroma that brings the young. I am from the birds that never sing but always tell a song, the shout of untranslatable words followed by the clatter of show covered strength. I am from the open space wher time stopped as the world grew around it, before living once more, nad the only thing that separates the people, are the paths they share. I am from the swarms of sugar and an endless supply of energy, as both young and old, meet to tell of their travels. I am from the swirls of mint and chocolate that blends with the seasons green and red, with puckering bars of yellow sweets. I am from the screams and yells of the tainted language that always brings the whispers of an unbreakable promise. I am from the never seen portraits locked within the deepest minds, and even the echoes of laughter that continue to drift through the halls.
