... learning something new and...

It is a good thing my GROWL is worse than my BITE!
Hi, come on in.  Take your shoes off, make yourself at home.  The coffee is on.  I am the DragonLady,  otherwise known as Sue Rakes in the mundane world.
I am always busy doing  something.......
You will probably get a good laugh before you leave, 'cause this is my first attempt a building a webpage.  I could have used something premade, but as an overly independent dragon, I just couldn't stand the thought.

If you are here, I have bored you enough for one day.
          THANKS FOR COMING BY!
please come back again, this is  a work-in-progress

April 07, 2004 - Hi, guys, it's been a long time since I have been able to access these pages, due to 'Technical DIFUGALTIES', as my mother would say.  I started this homepage as a way to teach myself more about the way a computer 'thinks' and how the WEB works.  While considering what content I would like to use on a second page, I ran across a family tree template.  I thought that would be a good idea, until I realized I knew next to nothing about our family history.  That was over six months ago, and in the process of finding out more about our lineage, I acquired a new obsession, GENEALOGY.  I want to share as much as I can, even tho' I already have more than I can probably get listed on this free website.

My Mystery People:
Who was
Edward Sherman Parkinson?  There is a photo of him (a baby picture), but who were his parents?  Was he Roscoe's son?
Grandaunts:  What ever became of Grandma Daisy's sister
Nettie Parkinson?  Did she have children?  When and where was Grandpa Kent's sister Dora (Rakes) Brotherton buried?  Where are her children and grandchildren?
Grandma Daisy's lineage:
Cadles and Lynches
My Dad's Family:
My Mother's Family:
Grandpa Joe's lineage:
Astleford, Cameron, Chapin, Cochram, Hanshew, Pedigo, Rakes,  Spangler, Temple

I especially want to thank Barbara (Shanshew) Schulz for all her help with the Rakes and Hanshew lines.  She and cousin Michael Von Goebel have shared ALL the Hanshew information, and MOST of the  information about Adam Rakes posted on these pages.
