Goku - A Saiyajin from the planet Vegeta, he is sent to Earth as an infant so he can prepare it to be sold. Like all Saiyajins, he has the ability to change into a huge ape-like beast when there is a full moon. However, when he was young his tail was surgically removed, and he is no longer able to change into the demonic creature. He could have easily eliminated all life on Earth, but he hit his head when he was young and forgot his mission. He now fights for the side of good, as the brainwashing had now been cured. Goku married chi-chi, daughter of Ox king; and together they had two sons, Gohan and Goten.

Piccolo - Piccolo's goal in life is to destroy Goku and conquer the Earth. He is the split personality of Kame, completely evil. However, when a greater evil, Raditz, threatens the Earth, he turns to the side of good and helps Goku. He later trains Gohan, and the kid becomes the only person that Piccolo cares for. Capable of regenerating body parts, Piccolo is a formidable fighter.

Kame - Sent to planet Earth when his homeworld Namek was about to be hit by a comet, Kame created the Dragonballs on the planet. He is a genius, but he was half good and half evil. Severly confused, he splits into two. One became Piccolo, and the other Kame. They have a spiritual link, so if one of the two dies, both of them die. As the guardian of Earth and creator of the Dragonballs, Kame plays a key role in the story.

Gohan - Son of Goku, he is trained by Piccolo to use his many hidden powers. He looks up to Piccolo for being such a great fighter, and is always trying to immitate him. Although he is the most powerful being in the universe, he can be beaten because he cannot fully utilize his power yet. Unlike Goku, his tail was never cut off, so he is still capable of turning into a Saiyajin under the light of a full moon.

Chi-Chi -Mother to Gohan and Goten and the spouse of goku. She feels very strongly about Gohan's studies and will stop at nothing to get him to continue his work. Chi-Chi's father is the Ox-King. She mainly spends her time worrying about Gohan's academics. Chi-Chi is very uptight, but she makes a good story, and a good mom.

Bulma - Bulma is the second character (after Goku) to be introduced into the Dragon Ball series. She hits Goku (and the fish he was carrying) while driving through the woods, searching for the mfish he was car

Krillen- is the most powerful human on Earth, although his power is still dwarfed by Goku and Gohan. He was once Goku's rival when they were young, but they later became best friends. He is a Buddhist monk, and shaves his head by choice. (He does grow some hair later in the series though) kurrin is willing to sacrifice his life for Earth, and whenever possible he is at Goku's side.

Tenshinhan- also known as Tien, is an Earthling warrior. He is about Goku's height and pretty muscular. Tien also has three eyes, two normal eyes, and then one stranger looking eye on the top of his head. Tien is good friends with Chao-Zu, he is also his bodyguard. Tien is the developer of the technique known as the Solar Flare (a fantasically bright like that is formed by fanning one's hands across their face). He is about equal strength with Yamcha, but Kuririn is still stronger than him.

Goten - Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi-Chi. He and Trunks spend most of their time together, and are very good friends. Goten exhibited high power when he went Super Sayaijin at the age of seven. He bears a very strong resemblance of Goku. Goten has the same hair that Goku has, he also wears a miniture version of Goku's karate Gi. Goten is usually happy, but has a specialty for throwing tantrums to get something he wants.

Trunks - Trunks is the child of Vegeta and Bulma. He likes to hang out with Goten and they are very good friends. When he and Goten are together, Trunks has a tendency to get them in trouble. Trunks is also sad that he does not have a brother like Goten does (Gohan). Trunks has purple hair and displays extreme levels of power, Trunks reached Super Sayaijin when he was eight. Despite Trunks' ability to get Goten and himself in trouble, he means well.

Vegeta - Born on the planet bearing his own name, Vegeta has the bloodline to become a super-elite sayain. A henchman of Freeza, he is regarded as one of the greatest fighters in the universe. Along with Goku, Radditz, and Nappa, Vegeta is one of the only Saiyajins to survive the destruction of their homeworld. He is extremely jealous of Goku's superior fighting ability, and actually helps him from time to time so that he still has someone to compete with. Vegeta craves nothing more then ultimate power.

Raditz - The weakest of the surviving Saiyajins, he is ordered to check on Goku and see why Earth was not ready to be sold yet. Finding that Goku had forgotten his mission, he kidnapps Gohan. Although at that time Raditz's power level is greater then that of Goku or Piccolo, his ignorance makes allows him to be defeated.

Nappa - Nappa is Vegeta's partner when they come to Earth. His power level (at the time) is far greater than any of the Z fighters. Nappa is, along with Vegeta, an Elite class Sayain. He is very tall and very buff, especially in comparison to his partner. Nappa is also very stubborn, and not very smart. This makes Vegeta angry. Once Nappa is crippled by Goku, Vegeta kills him, in honor of the Sayajins. Freeza - One of the most powerful warriors in the universe, he runs a group of criminals who clear life from habitable planets and then sell the worlds to the highest bidder. Already untouchable in the universe, he wants to make his power everlasting. Freeza owns a large fortress where his many men are stationed, including the powerful Ginyu Force.

Cell - Cell is a very powerful villian from Dragonball Z. He is more powerful than Goku when Goku is in his best health. Cell is one of Dr. Gero's androids which travels back in time from the future. In order to become Perfect Cell, he absorbs Andriods number 17 and 18. Cell likes to fight, he even encourages Goku to eat Senzu beans (magical beans that restore one's health instantly) so they could continue to battle.

Dodoria - a fat pink minion of frieza killed lots of nameks

Zarbon-An alien that has the ability to transform into a hideous monster. He did this to defeat Vegita when on Namek. Killed later by vegita

Kui- Another minion of Frieza killed by vegita on Namek.

Garlic jr. � Granted immortality by eternaldragon. Stuck in glass for ever.

Sansho � Minion of garlic jr. can power up. Killed by piccolo

Nikki �Minion of garlic jr. can power up. Killed by goku.

Bra-Vegeta and Bulma's second child,Bra,doesn't have much af a role in either DBZ or DBGT. She has the ability to control ki, as seen when she flew to help baby vegeta, but never transforms into a Super sayian.

Brolly- The legendary Super Sayian, Brolly was born with a power level of 10,000. His hatred for goku dates back to when him and goku were a child and goku made him cry. Brolly makes three appearences in movie 8,10 and 11.

Bardock- Bardock is Goku and Radditz father. Bardock looks almost exactly like goku but with a scar on his face.He gets a tecnique that lets him see the future and he see's friza blowing up planet vegeta he trys to stop friza but fails but before he dies by friza he see's the future when goku finaly kills friza and his last words were"my son lives on".

Goku Jr.- Goku Jr. is third decendant of goku and he is cowerdly but is strong and he dosen't know it he makes his first appearents in the GT Special(if you want to learn more about it go to Goku Jr Special on the main page)and at the end of Gt where him 100 years later where him and Vegeta Jr are fighting in the tournament.

Gogeta- Gogeta is the fused state of Goku and Vegeta he makes two appearences in movie 12 and in GT where he is SSJ4. He is exstreamly power ful but not as powerful as Veggeto in DBZ. He looks more like Son Goku than Vegeta and has dull voices of Vegeta and Goku, like all fused warriors.

Gotenks- Gotenks is the fused state of Goten and Chibi Trunks. He is the second and last after goku to go SSJ3. His attacks are Super Ghost Kamikazi and Shine Shine Missile. He is very strong and almost defeated Buu but the fusion wore off due to that he was in ssj3 form.

Vegetto- He is the fused form of Vegeta and Goku by the potora earings. He is stronger than Gogeta by a bit and is thought to be the strongest warrior in DBZ. The origanl plan was for Goku and Gohan to fuse with the earings but gohan got absorbed by Buu so Goku and Vegeta fused.

Majin Buu- Majin Buu is the final and most powerful villian in DBZ. He is a demon created by Bibi-Dee but he seals him away because he can't control him. Later Babi-Dee he son and Daburs gather enough energy to resurrect him. Buu killed almost every person on earth besides Vegeta(Note: he was already dead), Goku, Mr.Satan, and Bee(Mr. Satans dog) Because he blew earth up. During The saga he goes through six transformations due to haveing good and evil bodys in him. Goku killed buu only because Mr. Satan told the earth to donate energy to goku's spirit bomb.

Pan- Pan is the daughter of Gohan and Videl, She is an inportand character in DBGT. When goku was Golden Oozaru, Pan made goku remember all the stuff that happed causing him to go SSJ4.

Uub- Uub(pronounced Ubu) was goku's first student. He is a reincarnation of Buu. He faught Baby and lost then faught baby again with Mr.Buu in side him but was defeated again.

Vegeta Jr.- Vegeta he is the third decendent of Vegeta. His grandparens are unknown but his mother looks almost exacty like bulma. He faught Goku Jr. in the tournament 100 years later.

Videl- Videl is the daughter of Mr. Satan she is a very good fighter for a human and is the first to figure out that gohan is Great Sayiaman and tells him to teach her how to fly and to enter the tournament or she will tell everyone his secret. She and Gohan eventually get married and have a daughter named Pan.

Yamcha- Yamcha was originally a bandit. When he meet goku he stop being a bandit and went with them in search for the Dragon Balls. At first he is scared of bulma and girls in genarl. But lated he over comes his fear. he goes out with Bulma for a wile. Yamcha stopped traing after the Android Saga but is a good fighter.
