| Story Continued: (Krililen) Ya! Crazy things can happen when you're blinded by love. (Goku) You should know! You've risked the world for it and have saved the world for it! (Krililen) Its funny how I miss 18 so much but when I think back to all the time we shared, I just seem to feel better about everything. I think your right! Things will get better for them two once everything is settled. (Goku) Well, I think it's about that time! Tell the others! (Krililen) Right! Everyone stood in a half circle as Goku finally separated himself from the others and joined Vegeta at the edge of the water. (Goku) Good-bye everyone! Please don't worry about us while we are gone. We will be fine ok! (Yamcha) That's easy for you to say! Chi Chi will be going nuts while your gone! (Vegeta) Can you please stop your MINDLESS DRIBBLE!!!!!!!!! (Yamcha) -half whispers to Goku- Are you sure you want to be trapped on another planet with him? (Goku) Everything will be fine. Vegeta isn't that bad of company. There's always worse! (Vegeta) KAKKAROT!!!!! (Goku) Well so long everyone! At that, he lays his hand on Vegeta's shoulder and the two of them disappear with the instant transmission! (Trunks) Gohan! We should get started first thing in the morning. (Gohan) Right! (Chi Chi) So soon? I thought that since your fathers were gone that maybe you would spend more time around the house! (Gohan) Mom, you know that dad wants us to train the entire time he is gone. (Chi Chi) So much for hope I guess! -Master Roshi bursts out laughing! Everyone looks at him oddly!- (Yamcha) I think he's snapped! Poor old guy! (Master Roshi) I HAVEN"T SNAPPED YOU DIMWIT!!!! I was just remembering the time when I was training Goku and Krililen. Goku was always eager to train. He would be willing to do most anything I said. Krililen, on the other hand, did all he could to get out of the training! Guess that's why he turned out like he did. (Krililen) Umm, was that supposed to be a joke? (Master Roshi) No!!................umm................yes. (Krililen) Maybe you need to get out of those magazines and make up some new material! (Master Roshi) WHAT!!!!!!! GIVE UP MY MAGAZINES???? NEVER!!!!!!!!! (Krililen) That's Master Roshi's philosophy! Once a perv,...always a perv! (Master Roshi) Was that supposed to be a joke? (Krililen) Umm! (Yamcha) The two of you wouldn't know a good joke if it walked in half naked and slapped you across the face! -Krililen and Master Roshi only look at Yamcha with steam coming off of there reddening faces- (Yamcha) I think this is where I run! (Master Roshi) NO! Sit still! It will make things easier for us! While all of this is going on, Dende (The Guardian of the Earth) is keeping a constant vigil over all the events that have taken place. Then looks up to the sky as if alluding to the outside danger that will be soon upon them! (Vegeta) Some choice for a planet! Don't you think you could have chosen a place a bit more hospitable? There's nothing but rocks here!!!! (Goku) Come on Vegeta! I never said this was a pleasure trip! I think this in a prime training environment! There are few living creatures here and nothing substantial to destroy. It's the perfect place! (Vegeta) If you ask me, you've got a screw loose! (Goku) -yawns- I think I'm going to take a quick nap! That instant transmission sure does take its toll on you! (Vegeta) What!!!!! You mean to tell me that after that little exertion, you're tired!!!!! Pathetic!!!!! I'm not wasting time waiting for you to get your beauty rest! I'm going to train on the other side of the planet! (Goku) Fine with me! ZzZzZz (Vegeta) Incredible! How can he fall asleep so fast? Nonsense!!! –thinking to himself- I must find a way to surpass Gohan and Trunks! There is no way that a half-breed can be stronger than a Saiya Jin prince. Two years go by. Between naps, Goku manages to get quite a deal of training in. Vegeta is surprised at how Goku is not only able to keep pace with him, but has once again seemingly surpassed him though the difference is to small in the SSj4 form for anyone to really tell. -Goku and Vegeta are flying face to face in close combat! Each trading blows- (Goku) Come on Vegeta! You can't be giving your all! (Vegeta) Oh really? So you've noticed that I have been toying with you? Well, fine by me! If you want me........you've got me! AAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!!! -Vegeta steps up the pace and starts to force Goku backwards with his blows- (Vegeta) Do you like that? Want some more? (Goku) -in a very low mumble- Come one Vegeta. I need you to push me. IS THAT THE BEST YOU"VE GOT??? (Vegeta) HOW DARE YOU!!! AGH AGH AGH AGH AGH!!! -Vegeta launches a series of small ki blasts at Goku but Goku only slaps them away- (Vegeta) KAKKAROT!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! FINAL FLASH!!!!!! -The monstrous beam heads straight for Goku but he doesn't try to dodge- (Goku) HHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAA!!! The force of Goku's energy fractures the ground below! The rocks peel away as if they were liquid water! When Vegeta's beam hits Goku's energy field, there is an explosion and a dust cloud! (Vegeta) Hmm! Where did he go? Ah, there you are! Trying to sneak away, are we? -Vegeta flies directly at Goku who is knelling on the ground! Suddenly, Vegeta stops as he notices something wrong- (Vegeta) Why is he holding his chest like that? Maybe I need to back off! He is my only way back from this decrepit place! Just as Vegeta turns down his energy level, Goku jumps up and attacks Vegeta with a greater fury than ever before! Vegeta can barely keep pace! The fight ends shortly after this event. It was two weeks later when another bizarre event was to take place! (Vegeta) I'll show you just how weak you truly are Kakkarot! -Vegeta launches a series of violent punches at Goku but Goku is able to block each and every one- (Goku) Wow Vegeta! Your getting pretty quick! Before to long, you will be as quick as me! (Vegeta) KAKKAROT!!!! I will show you that I AM THE GREATER!!!!! Each trades blows but none seem to stun the other fighter much! At some point in the match, they catch each other in a double blow to the chin! Vegeta gets turned around and gocks at the bit of blood coming down his chin! (Vegeta) I have to admit that you got a good hit on me that time, Kakkarot! -He turns when Goku doesn't reply and is shocked by the sight of Goku lying, face up, on the ground apparently in severe pain!- (Vegeta) What is going on? The first time he went down, I was sure it was a fluke but not twice! It can't be that easy! I know he has more power than that! Goku is down for several minutes before finally waking up from the violent spasms he has been going through! He pretends it was nothing when asked about it! The attacks continue for the final few months of their training but right at the end they seem to stop! However, this does not end Vegeta's suspicions about the events! During the course of the three years, Gohan and Trunks have been honing their skills with the fusion process! At the same time, they studied each others fighting techniques to better themselves in the fused form! On a bright sunny day, a dark figure instantly appears just outside of Capsule Corp. Bulma's mother is weeding her garden when she notices the figure standing behind her. (Mrs. Briefs) Oh hi Vegeta! What are you doing here? I thought you were gone of to some place with Goku? (Vegeta) I don't have time for twenty questions!!!! Where's Trunks???? (Mrs. Briefs) Oh, he's been in the training arena all day with Gohan. I'm sure that both Trunks and Bulma will be happy to see you but where is Goku? (Vegeta) Grrrr, he went home of course and as for Bulma and Trunks, I could care less how they felt! Now leave me alone! (Mrs. Briefs) Oh my! The same old Vegeta! He can't hide anything from me though. La.....lala..la! Vegeta heads immediately for the training arena. As he enters the complex he sees Gohan and Trunks hard at work in the center of the large open space. (Gohan) Massenko HA!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Trunks) Final Flash!!!!!!!!!!!! The two quick bursts of energy collide in between the two fighters and explode on contact. The entire arena is jolted but like it has for the past few years, it holds. The generators on full power and risking over heating to try and keep up with the two fighters slowly growing energy levels, but they still hold! (Trunks) Hey look dad, I mean Vegeta, is back! (Gohan) THAT MEANS DAD IS BACK!!!!!!! -Gohan rushes for the door but Vegeta stops him as he tries to move by! Quite easily he stops him in fact.- (Vegeta) Hold up! I need to talk to both of you about something first. (Trunks) What's going on? (Vegeta) Well if you will shut up for a second, I'll tell you!!! (Gohan) Ok so spill it. (Vegeta) It's about Kakkarot! I believe he is hiding something from us. (Gohan) What are you talking about? Do you mean about whatever it is we are supposed to fight? Of course he is hiding that. He won't tell anyone! (Vegeta) Will you SHUT UP AND LET ME FINISH!!!!!!! It has nothing to do with that!! I think something is wrong with Kakkarot! (Trunks) You mean other than having a screw loose? (Vegeta) GRRRRRR STOP INTERUPTING ME!!!!!!! NOW IF YOU DON'T MIND, I'D LIKE TO FINISH!!!! -this outburst startles Gohan and Trunks, leaving them silent- We trained the entire time we were gone. At first, everything seemed perfectly normal but in the last year, something seemed to change in Kakkarot. He started to struggle for the first time we had been there. At some points it seemed like I was fighting a weakling like one of you, but as soon as I would let up, he would spring back as if it had never happened. (Trunks) What? What happened? (Vegeta) Kakkarot's power would fluctuate. Several times he even fell to the ground but like I said before, as soon as I started to back off, he would come back stronger than before. (Gohan) Do you think its something physically wrong with him? (Vegeta) I don't know. It is something we must seriously consider when the battle comes. (Gohan) Did dad say when the battle would occur? (Vegeta) Yes ....he did! (Trunks) WHEN??? (Vegeta) -with a devilish smile- 3 weeks from now. (Gohan) WHAT!!! ...... THAT SOON??? (Trunks) I can't believe it! After all those years of training, the event is only 3 weeks away! (Vegeta) Well I don't think you two need to worry. As long as Kakkarot can hold out in this battle, we will have no problem taking on anyone and anything in the universe. We've come a long ways since the last time you saw us! -cracks a smile- I really don't see a need for your involvement anymore. (Goku) WRONG!!!!! (Gohan) DAD!!!!!!! (Goku) Yes Gohan, it's me. Vegeta, we can't fight this battle alone. It will take all of us, and probably more, to win this battle. (Vegeta) How long have you been standing there? How dare you sneak around me like that!!!! (Goku) I was here long enough to hear you mouth off about not needing them but that's all I needed to hear from you. We have three weeks to live it up before the battle begins. I suggest that the rest of our time is spent with our family and friends so leave off any further training until then. There's no longer enough time for improvement. Come on Gohan! Chi Chi has dinner done and.......- in a sarcastic, over the top voice- I'm starving!!! (Gohan) Same old dad! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!! In a snap, the two disappear, leaving the others to ponder the upcoming events. Trunks and Vegeta finally walk off for their home and to the feared meeting with ..........Bulma! (Bulma) All right Vegeta!!!!! You have some explaining to do!!!!! I was perfectly ok with you leaving for training, but I never knew you would disappear without any contact for THREE YEARS!!!!!! (Trunks) If I remember right, you were totally against fathers leaving with Goku. (Bulma) IF I WANT YOU OPINION, I"LL ASK FOR IT!!!!! (Vegeta) Quiet woman! I don't have to explain anything to you! I have no liability with you or Trunks so butt out! (Bulma) NO LIABILTIES!!!!!!!! WE'RE MARRIED YOU IDIOT!!!! (Vegeta) So?! Is that supposed to mean something on this planet? (Bulma) Trunks, if you don't get this pig headed baboon out of my face, I'm going to make his backside LOOK like a baboon's! RED FROM WHERE I KICKED HIS BUTT, REPEATIDLY!!!!!!!!!! (Trunks) Umm, father! Maybe this isn't the time to try and talk to mom! (Vegeta) Oh? You mean to tell me there IS a time she can be talked to? I thought the only way to deal with her was to avoid any contact with her at all! Funny, but the same goes for pit bull in heat! (Bulma) WHAT??????????? (Trunks) Uh.... lets go see grandpa now father! (Vegeta) Fine!!! The two leave while Bulma screams something that makes even Vegeta blush! They meet up with Mr. Briefs but Vegeta is his usual quiet self while Trunks did most of the talking. Vegeta never spoke of anything else about there training on the foreign planet! Mean while, in another part of the region, Goku and Gohan are walking up the short path to home. Goten sees them through and window and immediately runs up to them and tackles them in a death hug grip! (Goku) Wow, hey there! What's this all about? (Goten) I'm sorry but it's been so long since I've seen either of you! I missed you dad! (Goku) Since you've seen either of us? (Chi Chi) GOKU!!!! Goku, Goku, Goku! Oh you're finally home! Page 5 |
