| Story Continued: (Goku) Hey Chi Chi! (Chi Chi) Oh, it's been so long! We've missed you so much! (Goku) I'm sorry I was gone for so long but the next few weeks will be totally devoted to you and Goten and Gohan! What about this not seeing either of us thing Goten? (Goten) Well you see...... (Chi Chi) The thing is, Gohan and Videl have made up! Gohan has been spending all of his free time with her and his son! (Goku) WOW, that's GREAT!!!!! I really am happy for you Gohan! (Chi Chi) Ya, but I can't help feeling jealous! I hardly ever see Gohan anymore! (Goku) Well how are Thomas and Videl doing? (Gohan) Oh, they're great!!!! You should come over and visit! He turned four just two months ago and is developing quite well! (Goku) He doesn't show any............ umm........... powers, does he? (Gohan) No! If he has any then he can't use it and I can't sense it! (Goku) Darn it would have been great to raise a supersaiyan grandson! (Chi Chi) Well excuse me but I think it's a good thing that Thomas has no powers! At least that way you two can't make him fight! Come on and lets go inside and catch up on everything that's happened! (Goku) Ok on two conditions! (Chi Chi) Conditions? (Goku) Ya! First, get Goten to let go of my neck! He's beginning to choke me! (Chi Chi) Goten, let go of your father!!! (Goten) Ah mom! (Chi Chi) I said now!!! (Goten) Ok but you know I'm to old to be told what to do now! (Chi Chi) You sure don't act like it! Why don't you get a job and make something of yourself like Gohan? (Goten) Cause dad said I didn't have to! (Chi Chi) Well, that's something else we need to address! What's the second condition? (Goku) Uh, can we eat first? I'M STARVING!!!!! (Gohan) Same old dad! (Chi Chi) I'll have supper done in a little while! Now lets please go INSIDE!!!! (Goku) You heard the lady! Lets get our butts inside before she has a fit! They all sit down to the first meal they have had together in 3 years! Goku was his usual self who, not only helped himself to his fair share of food, but the others' share as well! Of course, there wasn't much room for talk until Goku finally finished. (Chi Chi) It must have been hard going three years without a single home cooked meal! (Goku) Actually.... you would be surprised at how well Vegeta can cook! He could take anything and make it appetizing! (Chi Chi) REALLY? I would have never imagined Vegeta as a cook! (Goku) Nor I, but I guess since he spent so much of his early life on his own, he had to learn to do things for himself and its not like he carried a cook to every planet he conquered! Ya there is a lot more to Vegeta than we give him credit for! (Gohan) It sounds like you two got along pretty well! I'd hate to imagine spending three entire years alone with him! (Goten) As many times as I saw Trunks get scolded when we were younger, I'd have to agree with Gohan! (Goku) You just don't understand him! I think he just acts like that cause half of his life was spent alone with people who forced him to hide his emotions! He doesn't know how to express himself. To tell you the truth, I think he actually worried about Trunks and Bulma while we were away! (Chi Chi) Excuse me but are we talking about the SAME VEGETA? (Goku) Well its not like he said or acted like it while he was awake! (Goten) O.... k? (Goku) He talked about them in his sleep! (Gohan) WHAT? (Goku) Ya, he kept dreaming about them! He must have had a hundred dreams about them! (Chi Chi) My gosh! Are you certain? I mean it is Vegeta so you can't expect me to buy into this! (Gohan) Well, for some reason I don't find that to hard to believe! (Goten) What do you mean Gohan? (Gohan) Oh, it's nothing! Don't worry about it! (Chi Chi) Yes well we will have to pay them a visit tomorrow and see how they are doing! (Goku) Oh, you don't have to worry about that! (Chi Chi) How come? (Goku) Oh, I invited them to go out on a picnic with us! (Chi Chi) You did WHAT??? (Goku) What's the problem? I didn't think you would mind! (Chi Chi) The problem is, YOU FAILED TO WARN ME SO NOW I HAVE TO SPEND THE REST OF THE NIGHT PREPARING FOOD! IT'S BAD ENOUGH TRYING TO PREPARE FOOD FOR JUST YOU BUT NOW I HAVE TO FIX FOOD FOR SEVEN PEOPLE? (Goku) No you don't! Oh, and there will be ten people. (Chi Chi) And just how do you expect us to eat at this little picnic if I don't have to fix anything for it??? (Goku) -with a wide grin on his face- We'll go fishing tomorrow and filet them right there!!! (Goten) YA!!!!! (Gohan) COOL!!!!! I haven't been fishing in a long time! (Chi Chi) BOYS!!! Will you ever grow up? (Goku) Nope! (Chi Chi) Then why do I even bother to try and raise a respectable family? (Goku) If only I knew that myself! (Goten) Are you sure that Trunks and the others will come? (Goku) Oh, I'm pretty sure they will! (Goku) By the way, has anyone seen Krililen? I wanted to invite him and it just wouldn't be the same if we went fishing without him! (Gohan) I think he went to Master Roshi's again. (Goten) I thought he went into town with John and Marron! (Goku) Who's John? (Gohan) Oh that's Marron's new boyfriend! (Goku) Marron has a new boyfriend? Man, I wonder how Krililen is taking it! Ah Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!! Poor guy! I bet he thinks his daughter has grew up too fast! (Chi Chi) Actually, I've never seen such a happy guy! He seems really proud of her and really envies this guy. (Gohan) Ya, well he seems ok. Krililen says so any way! (Goku) Man a lot happens when you've been half way across the galaxy for a few years! (Chi Chi) Well, that's what you get! Maybe now on you will stick around here more! I hate to say this but...... you better get to bed Goku! You will need plenty of strength to catch enough fish for everybody! (Goku) Ah, do I have to? I want to hear more of what's happened since I've been gone! (Chi Chi) GO TO BED! (Gohan) Its ok dad! We will tell you more about it tomorrow. I need to go home any way. I'll catch ya tomorrow! Gohan flies off and after a brief discussion, the others went to bed. The next morning would be a time for family and fun. Some how Trunks convinced Vegeta to come and Gohan brought Videl. There was much excitement! (Goku) WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!! (Goten) Man dad! You must have caught the largest fish in the world!!! (Goku) Ya, he is kind of big isn't he? Ah Ha Ha Ha Ha! (Gohan) Uh dad? Try looking at mine! (Goku) WOOOOOW!!!!!!!! Yours is the size of a house!!! Where did you catch it? (Gohan) Over by the falls! There is a cave down just below it and there are lots of fish there! (Goten) SO THAT'S THE SPOT!!!!!!!! (Gohan) Oops!!! Guess my secret is out! (Goku) Oh, so that's the place you've been getting all the fish from before? Ah Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! Come one Goten! Lets check out Gohan's fishing spot! (Gohan) No wait! Don't!!!!!! Ah Ha Ha Ha Ha!!! (Goku) Oh, are you going to try and stop me? Goku races for the distant falls with Goten and Gohan close behind. They leave a huge wake behind them as they move across the water. (Vegeta) Appalling!!!!!! How can they lower themselves to such childish behaviors? (Trunks) Ah dad, it looks like fun! (Vegeta) SAIYANS DO NOT KNOW THE MEANING OF FUN UNLESS IT'S IN BATTLE!!!!! (Trunks) I'm sorry! I wont question you again! (Vegeta) Well, considering your only half saiyan..... (Bulma) HEY VEGETA!!!! Can you give me a hand with this?!!! (Vegeta) Darn earthling woman!!!! (Chi Chi) So Bulma! Have you heard much of what Goku and Vegeta were up to that entire time they were gone? (Bulma) No! Vegeta wont say anything about it but for some reason he has been sleeping a lot better! I don't know what's gotten into him! Has Goku said anything to you? (Chi Chi) Only a little. What he has told us has only managed to confuse us! (Bulma) How so? (Vegeta) What did you want woman??? (Bulma) Oh ya, I can't seem to get this jar open. Can you open it for me? (Vegeta) YOU CALLED ME OVER HERE JUST TO OPEN A JAR OF PICKLES???? (Bulma) Yes! Do you have a problem with it? (Vegeta) Urgh, hand me the jar!!! -Vegeta opens the jar and hands it back to Bulma- Now, don't bother me with such a petty details again!!! (Bulma) FINE THEN! Go and be miserable someplace else!! (Vegeta) I will, thank you!! (Chi Chi) Man, he hasn't changed any! (Bulma) You want to bet! Normally he wouldn't have opened the jar and would still be here fussing at me for asking! (Chi Chi) You mean that was him in a good mood? I'd hate to see him in a bad one!!! (Bulma) Believe me, it's a lot worse than that but he's been in a relatively good mood ever since he got back. (Goku) Hey Chi Chi! I need help cleaning Gohan's fish! (Chi Chi) All right Goku! I'll talk to you in a minute Bulma! (Bulma) Ok! The entire day is spent relaxing, fishing, and mostly eating. You could never tell that something was haunting Goku unless you caught him while he was looking towards the heavens with a blank, determined stare! When asked about it, he would point out a funny looking cloud as his excuse for looking but it was more than obvious that he is troubled by something. The past three weeks have been spent in the most carefree way possible. Goku has spent most of his entire time with Chi Chi and Goten while Gohan has been with Videl. Vegeta has even stuck by the house more than usual! It is on Monday that Goku reveals the startling news! (Goku) Gohan! It's time. (Gohan) WHAT? (Goku) Tell the others! HURRY!!!! (Gohan) Right! -Gohan flies off as Goku sits and stares at the sky- I've never seen dad so worried before. Whatever this thing is, if it's powerful enough to have dad worried, then its trouble. I better hurry! Gohan arrives shortly at Capsule Corp. and delivers the startling news. (Trunks) It's time? Already? (Vegeta) This isn't the time for questions now lets move it! (Gohan) I'm not sure where we are to meet yet! (Vegeta) I already know where we are to go so hurry it up!!! (Trunks) Ok I'm dressed! (Gohan) Then lets head out! They three fly, Vegeta leading in the direction of an area that is all too familiar to Gohan. Gohan is startled when Goku is already there, taking up position at the head of the group. Bulma, mean while, is spreading the news to all the others that something is about to go down. Tien, Yamcha, Chialsu, and Krililen all head out in the direction the others have already taken. (Gohan) Trunks! Did you ever get anything out of Vegeta as to what we are dealing with? (Trunks) No! Father said that if he told me, I would blab my big mouth off to the wrong person and throw all of our plans off. (Gohan) What plans? (Trunks) I don't know what they were talking about. I heard Goku and Vegeta discussing something one night but all I heard was your name mentioned and that was it. (Gohan) I wonder what they could have been talking about that would have included me! (Trunks) Well, I think we will find out soon enough. (Vegeta) Will you two stop mumbling! (Goku) He's here! (Trunks) Who? (Vegeta) I can sense him now. (Gohan) What is that? -a little fidgety- What power!!! Just as the fighters start to get a true grasp of what is approaching, a storm erupts and sand blasts them. They are left temporarily blinded in a sea of sand and wind. Something has arrived! (Gohan) Hey! There is something about that energy! It seems familiar! (Goku) -still head strong and determined- It's about time you showed up................. Cell! (Cell) Muah ha ha ha ha! So I see you've wasted no time preparing to meet me! So how should we begin? (Gohan) NO!!!!! IT CAN'T BE CELL!!!!! IT JUST CAN'T!!!!! (Trunks) Man, Gohan's flipping out! (Goku) NO!!! I was worried Gohan would react that way! (Vegeta) Grab him! (Cell) -talking to himself- Hmm! The boy! Ah yes! I still have memories from my predecessor, though some are very vague! I can understand his fear. If he thought my father was intimidating then, I must be terrifying! Muah ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! (Goku) GOHAN!!!!! Listen to me! We really need you on this on! You have got to calm down. Remember your training! (Gohan) -in tears of frustration- But how? How could he be alive? (Goku) It's not the same person Gohan! Read his energy signature and you will see for yourself! (Gohan) His power? (Trunks) Yes, I see it now! It's a single signature! The original Cell had multiple signatures! One for every fighter he was created from! (Trunks) Well if it's not Cell then who is it? (Cell) Ah yes! Let me introduce myself! The name is Cellulose! I am the son of Cell! Muah ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!! (Gohan) NO!!!!! That can't be! I destroyed him!!!!! -breaking down in tears- He just can't be alive! (Goku) Well he is and your going to get up and fight him just like you did so many years before. (Vegeta) This is CRAZY!!! How do you kill something that just keeps coming back? He is like a cockroach! Every time you squash him, another comes and takes its place! (Trunks) Come on! We can do this can't we? -the others only stare at Trunks's gesture- (Goku) -staring as Cellulose and thinking to himself- There is something else to him. What can it be? Maybe if I focus........... OH NO!!!!!!! -yelling out loud and startling the others- EVERYONE, FUSE NOW!!!!! (Everyone) WHATHA???? (Goku) -runs to Vegeta- Lets do this! Page 6 |
