Story:
It is a bright and sunny day. We see a wide green expanse between two sets of mountain ridges with a deep crevasse to one side of the meadow's floor. On either side of this deep rift, we see two figures facing each other while a short distance a way, a third is seen observing the first two. The two figures stand and stare at each other as they prepare to face off. The date is somewhere around ten years after the Evil Shenlong battle.
(Goku) Are you ready Gohan? (Gohan) Yes! (Goku) Then power UP!!
(Gohan) Maaaaassssseeeeennnnnkoooooo.........
(Goku) Kaaaaaameeeeee haaaaaameeeeee........
(Goku & Gohan) HAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Two huge beams of energy are launched, racing towards each other across the green field. They come together just above the rift and explode in an awesome array of bright light! The entire area is shaken with the force of the explosion! The third figure is seen flying off as the force hits him! As the dust is launched into the air, the two fighters come racing through and begin a most spectacular battle! Neither one seems to have an advantage at this point.
(Goku) Pretty good Gohan but you'll have to do better than that if you expect to beat me! -he says in a carefree expression. Gohan only looks at his father with a serious expression upon his face- All right then!!! If you want more.............................you've got it!!! AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
A chaotic storm erupts as a mass of golden light surrounds and engulfs Gohan! Rocks are literally being ripped from the nearby ground around him with a force of such immense power that is being emitted from Gohan! A tornadic storm of dust and debris stir and the once blue and clear sky, turns dark with violent thunderclouds! Goku watches with a little smirk on his face as if he had been waiting for this to happen the entire time. As the dust and storms finally settles, it reveals Gohan Super Saiya Jin 3!
(Goku) That's it Gohan! Turn it up a notch. Now it's my turn. -he says with a more determined and serious look-
AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Once again the scenario of violence and storms emerges! This storm of fury is just as violent as the first had been. We can no longer see the third figure that had been in the position as observer of the two other fighters. After a few minutes the dust settles again to reveal Goku, Super Saiya Jin 4! A distance off a familiar baldhead pops out from behind a giant rock.
(Krililen) You two really know how to rattle a guy's cage you know that? (Gohan) Oh, sorry about that Krililen! (Goku) AH Ha Ha Ha Ha!!! Ya Krililen! -voice turns to a softer but still serious in note- But we really need to try and train as hard as we can. We can't hold back, not even for you. (Krililen) Well, ok you guys, I understand, but I think ill move apiece further away this time. Last time nearly got my head blown off by a ki blast!!! (Gohan) Ya but Krililen, you look better bald anyway! (Goku) Ah Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!! Ya, he's right Krililen you should thank us for that nice clean shave! (Krililen) Ya right! Gee thanks you guys! You could have left a couple of more layers of skin up there while you were at it! (Goku) Guess that gives a new meaning to close shave! Ah Ha Ha Ha Ha!!! Well, we need to get started. -His voice becomes more serious in tone again- Are you ready, Gohan? (Gohan) Yes! -with a smirk upon his face- (Goku) Hey Krililen!!! Start us of ok? (Krililen) Sure Goku! Ready!..........Set!.......…Go!
At this, the two fighters lunge towards one another and collide with an awesome fury! Fist upon fist, blow for blow! The shear force is coming off of them is enough to knock Krililen straight across the valley! After flying a little ways, he regains control and steadies himself as he looks on to the battle scene behind him.
(Krililen) Geez, Gohan seems as strong as Goku now! I still don't see why Goku doesn't notice how strong Gohan really is for the level he's at. Shoot, Gohan has had bursts of speed and power that my surpass Goku's and yet Goku never seems to notice or care! I wonder what he's got his mind so rapped into.
The epic battle rages on as Goku starts to show his superiority in strength and speed. Gohan becomes more reluctant to continue as he notices that he is to weak to match his father's power but it is not Gohan's lack in power that slows him down. It is his lack of faith in him self that weakens him.
-Goku speaks in a deep and angered voice- You have got to try harder Gohan!!! You keep falling behind so pick it up!!! -Gohan in an equally angered voice- Why don't you try it in the SSJ3 form and lets see what you have to say then!!! (Goku) That's no excuse now try harder!!! (Gohan) -whispering to himself- Why is it that nothing I do seems to please him? I can't keep going like this! I'm not a fighter!! I have had all I can't take!!! NO MORE!!!!!
UUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
Violence fills the land as the rage within Gohan erupts! For as long as we have known Gohan, we have seen that his power is directly linked to his emotions. Now we see how greatly this effect truly is!
(Krililen) -in a concerned and half angered voice- Dang it Goku, why did you have to do that!?! You know what happens when you make Gohan angry! If Goku keeps tempting Gohan like this, Gohan is liable to lose control one day. -calms a little- Well it is Goku so maybe he knows what's best. I'm just worried that Gohan will lose it and blow up the planet or something!
The battle continues as it now seems that Gohan is starting to get an edge on Goku! There are periods where even Goku seems to have trouble keeping up with his son. As the battle continues we see that something is wrong with Goku. Is it Gohan's new strength and speed that has overwhelmed Goku.........or is it something else? All of a sudden Gohan disappears! Everything becomes quiet as Goku searches for his son. We see Gohan appear right behind Goku but as Gohan goes for the attack, he's knocked into the valley floor and crashes through into the rift!
-Goku in a relaxed tone of voice- Yep, you almost had me that time Gohan! (Gohan) I can't stand this! Fighting is bad enough but how do you expect me to continue fighting a battle I cannot win? (Goku) Sometimes we have to fight the losing battle! It's apart of life and it is what makes us stronger both mentally and physically. You can't have life's skills just given to you. You have to earn them for yourself. (Gohan) Yes but why do we have to fight? (Goku) We fight to protect those who cannot fight for themselves! We have to be prepared for the upcoming battle, not for our benefit, but for the benefit of all the lives on earth! (Gohan) Well how do you expect for us to prepare for something we know nothing about? Why can't you tell us who we are facing and when we have to face it? (Goku) There is no need for you to know that right now Gohan! You will just have to trust me! Will you trust me, Gohan? -Gohan in a reluctant voice- Yes.........yes I will trust you! (Goku) Thank you Gohan! Hey! Why don't we take a break for today? We worked really hard and IM STARVING!!!!!!! (Krililen) Same old Goku! He always did think with his stomach! (Gohan) Ah Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!! How do you think Chi Chi kept Goku from running off all those years? (Krililen) Ya I guess your right Gohan!! (Everyone) Ah Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Speaking of Chi Chi! Lets go to my house everybody! I'm sure Chi Chi won't mind and Goten would love to see you Krililen! (Krililen) You know you don't have to talk me into eating Chi Chi's cooking, Goku!! She always did make the best pot roast in the world, ya know! (Goku) Darn you Krililen!!! Now I'm really starving!
(Everyone) Ah Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The fighters have now powered down as Krililen moves in a little closer. They fly off together in the direction of Goku's house with smiles upon their faces. They seem untroubled about the upcoming events that are to follow. They have been spending days like this for several years now. Once, Goten was apart of the daily routine but could not keep up with the others. Goku decided it would be best that Goten not fight in this battle, so after five and a half years, Goten was sent home. Mean while in the present time, we find another father and son pair sharing a family moment .........................saiyan style!!!
(Trunks) BURNING ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!
A wave of energy flies from Trunks! As it approaches Vegeta, he only gives a disgusted sneer and easily deflects the wave.
(SSJ4 Vegeta) Such a pitiful attack! Boy, how do you expect such a weak attack will accomplish anything!!! What's the matter with you? Gohan is more than twice your strength so what's your problem!?! (Trunks) Fine then! -with disgusted- Lets see exactly how much I've learned from you!
EEEEEEEEGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
This is the first chance we get to have a glimpse of the structure within which they have been training. It is a large superstructure with banners of Capsule Corp. everywhere! If is wide and open with an extreme high ceiling allowing for freedom of flight. As Trunks powers up, lightening flashes throughout the room. A strange phenomenon occurs. Every part of the superstructures interior lining starts to glow with a yellowish hew. It seems to counter act the force coming from Trunks body as he powers up but on a power up scale, this is minimal to what was seen with Goku and Gohan from before. Then for an instant there is a bright flash!! When the light dimes we see, standing before Vegeta, Trunks in Super Saiya Jin 3. It seems that Gohan isn't the only one to have unlocked the secret to this form but Trunks is not as well adapted to it. Gohan is the only one who can maintain the SSj3 form for prolonged period without exhausting his energy supply and SSj3 Gohan's power is far greater than either Trunks or Goku's power in this same form. This has made the Training for Trunks extremely harsh due to his father's expectations from the fact that, where Gohan and Goku are close to equal, even though Goku is one level higher than Gohan, Trunks has to face SSj4 Vegeta with a power level more than three times his own.
(Trunks)HAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAA FINAL FLASH!!!!!! (Vegeta) -with a stern face- Pitiful! BIG BANG!!!!!!!!
The two attacks collide and explode! The force knocks Trunks back but he quickly regains control. The structure is unharmed.
(Vegeta) How can you be so weak!!! -he says with an evil voice- You're a descendant of a royal bloodline! A bloodline that has given birth to some of the greatest and most powerful warriors in the universe and you let Gohan surpass you!?! I know! It's that darn women's influence on you, isn't it? (Trunks) Actually.........if I had more of mom's influence, I'd probably already be the strongest warrior in the universe by now! (Vegeta) god, I can't believe that women! One of these days, I'm going to tell her off and that will put an end to her bickering ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!! (Trunks) I'd like to be there to see that one! (Vegeta) Funny -as he cracks a smile- How do you expect to be around when that happens if you don't start to shape up! Well, let's power down and go home. I can't stand to watch your feeble attempts any longer today. -powers down to his regular self- (Trunks) Sure father. -powers down as well- (Vegeta) That women better have dinner cooked by the time we get there, and this time, I won't eat it if it's BURNT!!!
The two proud warriors walk to their nearby home. Smoke is seen coming from the chimney, which means Bulma is busy with cooking and for a good reason. Tonight, her father and mother will be joining them for the meal.
(Vegeta) WOMEN, how much longer until its ready!?! -he takes off some of his clothing and throws it next to the washer- I'm tired of having to wait for a decent meal around here! -Trunks walks in behind him and also throws some of his clothing next to the washer and both slip on fresh clothing- (Bulma) Hey Vegeta! Could you be a doll and do some of the washing for me this evening? I would but I've kind of got my hands full in here! (Vegeta) WHAT!!!!!!! All right then! -in a regretful voice- I can't believe I have to do my own washing in this house! -he mumbles as he walks towards the washer- Why do I even bother to keep a woman around if I have to do everything FOR MYSELF??? (Bulma) Hey Trunks! -Trunks moves toward her and they lean close together as Bulma whispers to him- What's up with Vegeta? He didn't even put up much of a fuss that time. The last time I thought he was going to take the roof off with that big mouth of his! (Trunks) I don't know, but I don't have the courage to ask him! -in a sarcastic voice- (Bulma) Me neither! Hey, there are your grandparents Trunks!! Go help them inside, could ya? (Trunks) Sure mom!
After a while they all settle down to dinner. The bulk of the discussion is carried out between Bulma and her parents as Vegeta and Trunks sit quietly.
(Mr. Briefs) So Vegeta, how is the training facility working out? (Vegeta) It's working adequately and now, if you don't mind, I would like to finish my meal without any more interruptions! (Bulma) Come off it, Vegeta! -in a stern voice- They are our guests and need to be treated as such!
