| The Banner | |||||||||||||||||||||
| IN 2001 the youth of CCD designed, created and display now a banner. The banner is two faced, with a side that faces the out of the chapel through the glass and a side that faces into the chapel. On the side that faces in, there is a purple cross on a blue background seperating the represented four seasons. In one corner there is a mountain lake and sunset (summer), in another there are snowflakes and stars (winter), and there is a budding flower (spring) and lastly there is a tree with its leaves spread on the ground below (fall). On the opposite side, the one that faces out to those in the coat area, there is a black background with red sparkling flames at the bottom flaring up to lick the symbol of a dove between two sides of flame creating an oval shape. Then there is writing in silver saying "meeting in progress. |

| The Mural | |||||||||||||||||||||
| IN 2002 the youth decided to create a mural for the chapel as well. The plans have been going for a while but only now(2003) have supplies been bought and we are ready to start creating the real thing. As of now there are three different panels and they are on canvas approx. 4' by 4'. Thay are meant to go through the church (or stuff about the church) through a long period of time. In the first panel there will be moses with the 10 commmandments walking on a path towards where jesus lay in Bethlehem, with stars over head. In the second panel there is a monastary and lots of monks watching trees and other plants grow. In the third panel there is a wedding and a funeral at our church (CCD) I think the wedding is Rondy and Frank's? And there is also a cememtary and a river flowing through all of the panels (maybe?) and the hills and edges of each of the panels line up with both of the other panels so they can be rearranged if need be. This project should be underway this summer, provided we get the help needed.;) |

| The Bottle Drop Off | |||||||||||||||||||||
| The youth have a large blue wooden box down in the basement of the church that is there to collect bottles. People can bring their empty pop and juice (etc.) to the church and the youth will recycle the things left in the bin and keep the money in the Youth Group funds for use in activities and such. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| The Swear Jar | |||||||||||||||||||||
| One of the Standards in this Youth Group is No Swearing. However, things do slip sometimes and sometimes the youth just need to learn how to control their mouths. So, we introduced the swear jar. This year the fine for swearing went up from 10 cents to 25 cents per swear. When someone swears they either pay from their pocket on the spot or if they have no money they are put to work for punishment. | |||||||||||||||||||||
