Colombia is a beautiful and diverse country. I lived for one year close to where this photo was taken in
Cartagena. This is an image of the monastery on the hill in the same city.

Colombia are a mixture of European,
Andean Indian and the descendants of Africans. This picture was taken in the port of Buenaventura, on the west coast of Colombia, in the heavily forested province of Choco. I took the boat that is waiting here!!

Colombia was the place in which the Spanish thought the mythical land of El Dorado existed. This lake, close to Bogotá, was the sacred lake of the Indians, and where they ceremonially buried their dead. Gold has been found here, but not the El Dorado that the Spanish were looking for.
