This photograph was taken just outside of the newest town in
Argentina. It is called Chalten, and is being developed as a base from which to explore the natural beauty of Patagonia. I enjoyed staying in Chalten
immensely, though the wind was at times harrowing. It is a paradise for enthusiastic
walkers.

Argentina is a Catholic country. This statue is outside of the city of
Tucuman, which was where the Argentines gained their independence from Spain. The statue says that it is dedicated to the glory of God, and attracts large groups of tourists as you can see. They come for the view over Tucuman, and a family orientated restaurant which is
adjacent to the statue
.

This is the Eva Peron, or Pink room in the Congreso of Argentina. Situated in the heart of Buenos Aires, Congreso is an imposing, European style building. The interior of Congreso is rather gloomy, which often matches the mood of the politics that is practised within it.  Eva Peron gave Argentine society glamour and a story which the average person related to. Recent politicians have lacked her style and creative flair.
