Iguazu

This is the view of the falls of Iguazu from the Argentine side. On this side, there are walkways that take you over and under these spectacular falls. After this walk there is an unmissable boat trip into the falls!

This picture of the falls is taken from the Brasilian side of Iguazu, and an observation tower that has been built there. In the distance is the apex of the falls, called the 'Devil's throat'. On the Brasilian side there is a shorter walk, that takes in breathtaking panoramas of the falls. It is an incredible photographic opportunity, depending upon the light conditions, and the availability of space between the hordes of tourists.

This is a shot taken from the observation platform on the Argentine side at the Devil's throat. This platform is reached via a walkway that traverses the Iguazu river. To get there one has to take a small train through the jungle. On the day that we went to this part of the falls, the whole area was festooned with brightly coloured butterflies.
