| 1. MENSTRUAL DISTURBANCE: 2. KNOW OVULATION AND SELECT THE SEX OF YOUR BABY. 3. SYMPTOMS AND SIGNS OF PREGNANCY. 4. PLACENTAL FUNCTION: |
| 1.MENSTRUAL DISTURBANCE: Menarchae (FIRST PERIOD). This is of onset of menstruation and varies from woman to woman usually between 10-16 years of age. Rhythm of cycle and duration of flow. The normal cycle 5 days every 28 days, but not all the women are the same (some 3 days every 21 days and some 3 days every 30 days). The volume of blood loss each menstruation (var between 30 ml- 200ml). It means every month you are loosing some IRON and this will reduce the Haemoglobine and this will lead into reduction in the nutrition of your tissues. For this purpose you must eat good and balanced food, proteine, fruits and vegetable and control your HB, especially if your period heavy with clots. SYMPTOMS AND PRE-MENSTRUAL TENSION: I must say that there are many women are very lucky they do not have neither symptoms nor tension, but others may present backache, abdomina pain nervous, irritability, depression, headache and breast discomfort and swollen. IRREGULAR PERIOD. This can be caused by ovulation, hormonal fluctuation or organic disease. 1. MENORRHAGIA. It means heavy period instead of 5 days may last 10 days. Usually in Parous women (having more than two childrens). 2. METRORRHAGIA. Bleeding or period in the middle of the cycle (TIME OF OVULATION). 3. EPIMENORRHOEA. Bleeding too often (Bleeding through the cycle). 4. OVULATION PAIN. In the middle of your cycle on the 14 days sometimes you may get very slight lower abdominal pain with or without very scanty bleeding ( this is very normal pfenomen). 5. DYSMENORRHEA: This is painful or pain associated with the menstrual cycle. TWO TYPES OF DYSMENORRHEA. 1. Primary (spsmodic). Pain free prior to flow or may be present just before flow. Spasmodic or colicky pain with the flow, pain relieved when flow is well established. Then free of pain till next menstrual cycle. 2. Secondary (Congestive). Pain present days priorn to flow, pain building up to period, pain WORSE with period, pain slowly slowly reduces after flow till next period. Symptoms. Regular menstruation often with mid-cycle discomfort or very little bleeding is good evidence. 2. Temperature. The temperature is taken every morning before you get up. Ovulation is indicated often by a slight fall and then a RISE of about half a degree above the reading of the first half of the cycle. See this drawing. 3. INSPECTION OF CERVICAL MUCUS. The level of oestrogene incresed preceding ovulation. 1. Cervical discharge is very much increased (CERVICAL CASCADE). 2. The SPINNBARKETT. A drop of cervical mucus placed between two slides can be streched into thread about 10 cm long WITHOUT breaking. 3. POST COITAL TEST. Microscopic inspection of a drop of cervical mucus 24 houres after inter course should show good penetration by sperm with about 12 active motile sperm in a high-power field. 4. SPERM INVASION TEST. This test requires a specimen of ejaculate, a drop of which is placed beside a drop of cervical mucus on a warmed slide. Under the microscope the sperm should be seen actively invading the mucus. 5. US: Ultrasound is very simple and absolutly SAFE, You may have one at the 13 th day of your cycle. The Radiologist will tell you the time of ovulation. 6. HORMONE ASSAYS. The value of oestrogene reaches a PEAK at ovulation. NOW I WOULD SAY IT IS VERY EASY TO IMAGINE HOW EASY TO SELECT THE SEX OF YOUR BABY BY KNOWING THE EXACT TIME OF OVULATION SO YOU CAN MAKE LOVE WITH YOUR HUSBAND IMMEDIATELY 6 HOURS AFTER OVULATION (MORE INFO:click here.) 3.SYMPTOMS AND SIGNS OF PREGNANCY: 1. AMENORRHEA. Abscence of the period and very little psychological changes with very little body swollen. 2. Pregnancy test positive. Is very easy you may bouy a kit from the pharmacy or you can ask the pharmacist to do it. 3. Morning sickness. The majority of women suffer some gastric upset in the early months, from nausea and anorexia to reoeat vomiting, especially in the morning, the cause is unknown, but probably the increased amount of cerculating oestrogen has a temporary effect on the metabolism. It is also decreases gastric motility and decreases the motility of the intestins. 4. Breast changes. Breasts become encourged and swollen and discomfort. 5. Bladder symptoms. discomfort and frequency of urine. 6. Ultrasound. Very easy and SAFE and you can see your baby. 7. Movement and baby heart beat. 4.PLACENTAL FUNCTION: Placenta is very important organ during pregnancy and has mesteriouse secret in it and has wonderful function as you can see in this drawing. In the placenta the MATERNAL AND BABY BLOODS ARE NOW CLOSE TOGETHER BUT NO DIRECT CONNECTION (It means maternal blood and Baby blood do not mix together). This allows interchange of materials between mother and her baby. |
