Ingredients: 2 pkgs Kraft mac & cheese 1/2 can or bottle of spaghetti or pasta sauce 1 small can of tomato sauce 1 1/2 cups Mozarella cheese 1 lb ground beef dash of powdered garlic and powdered onion salt & pepper to taste Instructions: 1. Boil macaroni in enough water for 7 minutes. Drain. Put in baking dish and set aside. 2. Preheat oven to 350 deg F. 3. Brown the ground beef on medium heat.. When it renders fat, remove excess oil. Season with garlic and onion powder, and salt and pepper to taste. (Careful not to make it too salty as you will still have the powdered cheese from the Krafts packet.) 3. Transfer ground beef to the baking dish with the macaroni. Add powdered cheese, macaroni, tomato sauce, pasta sauce and 1/2 cup mozarella cheese. Mix well. 4. Top with the remaining 1 cup mozarella cheese. Cover. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove cover and bake for additional 5 minutes.
This is a very simple dish to prepare. As I have warned the visitors to my online kitchen (this site), I am no expert in cooking and computers. Anyway, my kids love this, and so does my husband (although my fussy husband likes lasagna most when it comes to pasta). I like to make it when I have leftover Kraft's mac & cheese and sauteed ground beef (my husband likes that simple combination, which, to me, seem so incomplete, maybe for lack of challenge in preparation).

Tips: Drain the pasta quickly and use immediately. Do not rinse pasta in cold water unless it will be served cold. The cool splash removes the surface starch, which helps the sauce hold on or cling to the pasta. Tomato sauce does not only add flavor, but it also tenderizes meat. In addition, it reduces the risks of certain cancers by preventing the formation of cancer-causing substances when cooking at high temperatures, like grilling or barbecuing.
