BYLAWS FOR 2005-2006 RULES AND REGULATIONS
 
1. MEMBER'S FAMILY: Each member shall be allowed to take his wife and children hunting. The wife and children must comply with the association rules. Any child 19 years of age or older will be required to pay full membership fees unless they are a full time college student or go into the military. The student must show proof by registration slip. Any other family relationship will be subject to approval by a majority vote of the Board Members.
2. IDENTIFICATION: Each member shall be furnished:
(A) Keys to the association facilities;
(B) Membership card to be carried in wallet;
(C) Hunting club sticker to be placed on windshield of vehicle before entering club.
(D) Guest will have to have a pass, (signed by a Board Member) before he or she goes hunting.
3. CONDUCT: The conduct of a member while hunting shall, at all times, be that of a sportsman and shall be in accordance with the Rules and Regulations issued by the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission.
4. VIOLATIONS: Any case of violation resulting in a conviction of any authorized law against a person (regardless of who that person may be) trespassing on property leased by the club shall be supported by the members.
5. EXPULSION: A charge of violating the Constitution and Bylaws of this club against any member shall be heard by the Board of Directors, whose decision shall be subject to the approval of a majority of the membership present at a regular or special meeting. The member charged with any such violation shall be given the right to be heard before the Board of Directors and final determination shall be made by the membership, as set forth herein, as to whether or not the member shall be expelled from the club or censured.
6. REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS: In the event any member is expelled from the club or ceases to be a member otherwise, there shall be no refund of any part or portion of the fee paid by such member for the ensuing year.
7. TRANSFER OF MEMBERSHIP: No member shall be allowed to sell, transfer, or exchange his membership in the club.
8. SUSPENSION: Any member loaning his key to the clubs facilities or membership card to a non-member shall, upon statement signed by any officer of the club, be immediately suspended from the membership in the club until action is taken by the Officers and Board of Directors, with final approval to be made by a majority of the membership present at a regular or special meeting. Such member shall be advised in writing by the Secretary of the final action taken by the club membership. A member may loan his/her key to their spouse or dependent child to hunt.
9. FINANCIAL STATEMENT: A financial statement will be read at the regular meeting and shall be open to any member.
10. EXPENDITURES: All expenditures which will result in payment by the treasurer shall be specifically approved by the President and Treasurer.
11. POACHERS: To the extent practicable, members should make cases against poachers for hunting or trespassing on property leased by the club.
12. DOGS: No dogs are allowed in the woods two weeks before regular deer season opens.
13. WEAPONS: No firearms or primitive weapons, with the exception of handguns, will be allowed on leased property except during normal hunting season established for deer, turkey, quail, squirrel and spring gobbler season.
14. ARCHERY & MUZZLELOADER SEASON: Any game that is legal in the State Rules and Regulations Book, including doe deer, is legal to take with bow and arrow and muzzleloader, except spike or button bucks. Anterless permits may be used to take short horn spike deer during muzzleloader and archery season.
15. DEER: Any deer having horns five inches or more will be considered legal game. In any event a member, any of his immediate family or guest kill a doe, he shall make a report to a Board Member and pay a $200 fine. A short horn spike or button buck is a $100 fine. There will not be a fine if spikes are killed on doe days. All fines must be paid to the Treasurer within 10 days.
The club will be allowed to harvest antlerless deer in accordance with the game biologist. The board will administer the program and present a plan to the general membership, for its approval, at the general membership meeting each year as to what the program will be for the next hunting season. The board will be allowed to modify the program during the hunting season, if necessary.
16. TURKEYS: Turkey gobblers only may be taken during the spring and fall season. No hen turkeys may be taken at any time.
17. HOGS: Hogs may be caught or trapped year round. Hogs may be hunted with or without dogs from the start of general gun season until the end of small game season. During small game season the limit is one hog per day.
18a. MEMBERSHIP: Membership will run from May 1st to February 1st and February 1st to May 1st. Every paying member must pay $400.00 by February 1st. Any member not paid by February 1st will lose their membership; this is a 3-month membership that lasts till May 1st. The May 1st dues will be set by the Board of Directors. Payment will be made to the Secretary and/or Treasurer only. Payment must be made by check or money order. Any child who turns 19 during the calendar year that the dues are due on must pay the full old member's fee. Any old or new member who turns 62 during the calendar year that the dues are due will pay half price. When a member becomes 70 years of age and has been a paying member for 10 years, that member will become a non-paying member. It may become necessary to increase members' fees in order to compensate for needed money for the club. The club member's spouse or dependent children will be accepted as members above this number. The number of members shall be decided by the Board of Directors with final approval of the general membership.
18b. Members that are legally disabled will be eligable to go before the board and the board will decide if they are disabled. If the board decides they are disabled they will be allowed to pay half the amount of the annual dues.
18c. If a member requires an extension past February 1st and May 1st to submit their annual hunting club dues that member or any of that members dependents are not allowed access to any of Dupont Center Hunting Club properties until dues are paid in full.
18d. A new member shall pay for the first year, double whatever existing dues are that calendar year.
19a. GUEST: A guest will be allowed to hunt a total often (10) days per year, at a guest fee of $25.00 per day. The guest will pay this fee for any type of hunting, squirrels, etc. Any guest may ride with a member without paying the guest fee only if the member is not hunting. A guest may not take his or her vehicle into the club. No member shall have more than one guest per day. A guest pass must be bought before you go on club property, if not, the member will be suspended from hunting the rest of the hunting seasons.
19b. For liability reasons, siblings of a paying member will not be allowed to drive a non-member's vehicle in the Dupont Center Hunting Club.
19c. No Guests will be allowed in DuPont Center Hunting Club during the first two weeks of General Gun Season.
20. Any member or guest of Dupont Center Hunting Club shall allow inspection of his or her vehicle at any time while on land leased by this club when requested to do so by another member of the club or any legal law enforcement officer.
21. BYLAW CHANGE: Any member desiring to change a Bylaw must have the change put into writing and have signatures of 10 members. The change must be submitted to the Secretary by April 15th. The member who wrote the change must be present at the board meeting on April 15th to explain the Bylaw change. There will be no Bylaw changes from the floor the night of the annual meeting, but the proposed Bylaw changes on the agenda can be amended one time from the floor.
22a. SAFETY: All hunters will wear hunter's orange hats while hunting in Dupont Center Hunting Club during the General Hunting Season.
22b. ATV's may be used to hunt by paying members only.
23. GATES: The last person leaving is responsible for locking the gate. If a gate is not locked, there will be a fine of $50.00 to that member.
