THE EMBER RAKE
The EMBER RAKE is ultimately used to separate the unburned fuel (EMBERS) from the ashes. It promotes more efficient use of fuel, and reduces clean-out.
Using the flat side of the rake, push all of the ashes to the back of the stove
box. Turn the teeth down and pull the embers toward the air intake. Put new
wood on top of the embers and close the door.
The EMBER GATE works very well with the Rake, and keeps embers safely inside the stove. You install or remove the gate by
the notches provided on the gate.
Banking the embers up to the gate allows the air to fuel it. All you need to do is put new wood on top of the embers and gate. The gate prevents the new wood from suppressing air flow.
(gate being picked up by rake at notches)
