Jonathan C. Autry
Jonathan was born in Oklahoma on May 30th, 1981. Jonathan was raised in a godly, Bible believing home. He professed his belief in God as Lord and Savior at age 11. His father was called to the ministry as a Pastor. His father was a Pastor through out Jonathan’s childhood years. Jonathan admired his father for the ministry he did for God. Influenced from his father’s caring heart and love for God, Jonathan felt called to the ministry. He began living his life receiving training along the way. Jonathan continued to study extensively through out high school and college receiving information that would help him in his ministry for God.
Jonathan C. Autry, a graduate of Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA; currently lives with his wife Rebecca in Lynchburg, VA. Jonathan resided in Manassas, VA with his family prior to following God’s call for his education at Liberty University. The money he expended in acquiring an education was earned by his own efforts, by manual labor as his high school janitor and taking various ministry positions during college. Jonathan enjoyed the youth from his home church and during a summer break interned with his youth pastor. He was greatly encouraged by the pastor and the parents of the youth he was working with that God had gifted him in communicating with teenagers.
After graduating college, Jonathan married his bride Rebecca on June 14th, 2003. He and his wife then participated in their Sunday School class, Above and Beyond, specialized on engaged and newly married couples at Hyland Heights Baptist Church in Rustburg, VA. They both worked in the nursery and a program titled, “Parent’s Night Out.” As months progressed Jonathan focused on an outside college group Bible Study meeting each week. He also helped his wife with a new program entitled, “LBTS SSGA Parent’s Night Out” with Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. While helping his wife, Jonathan realized his experience with children and youth strengthened his reliance to the call God had placed on his life.
Jonathan is currently starting his MAR in Biblical Studies at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently a youth worker at Calvary Baptist Church in Concord, VA where he and his wife are leading a structured discipleship program on Sunday evenings to un-churched youth. Jonathan helps the youth director with Sunday morning, Wednesday night and weekend youth activities. Jonathan plans on getting his commercial drivers license in order to drive buses this year.
Jonathan is a firm and strong supporter of youth. His ministry of edification, exhortation, and comfort promotes faithfulness, responsibility, integrity and accountability in all aspects of the Christian walk.
