What is the best thing that has ever happened to you?

My mom wants right here to say being born. My wife, ...meeting you honey, ...of course...right...*sweating*. Seriously, meeting Jesus Christ and being born again by receiving his free gift of salvation is by far the best thing that ever happened to me. Without Christ who knows where I would be. After that, meeting my lovely wife who I chased until she caught me. Marriage is truly all about grace gentlemen.

OK, I got it DOULOI means "Do U Like Only Idiots", right?

Wrong, douloi is koine greek for "bondservants" or "slaves". Its singular form is doulos. Douloi tou Christou means "slaves of Christ". In most of my web handles, I go by doulos, but after I married my teammate in ministry, I decided that it was best to change it to douloi. Our goal is to serve Christ as best we can. I am working on a more detailed explanation here.

Does your wife submit?

Submit, yes, obey, no. There is a world of difference. Wives are to subordinate themselves to their husbands, children are supposed to obey their parents. These are two different words used in the same passage. Also, the problem is not generally with women submitting, most do not mind and want prince charming to lead. The problem is normally husbands loving their wives as Christ loved the church. We, husbands are supposed to serve our wives, die for our wives, help sanctify our wives... Just think about what Jesus has done for the church, for a bit. Our wives are called to submit, but we are called to be Jesus to our wives. He he, wives this may be justification for an occasional foot massage from you husband in a loin cloth. LOL. Seriously, we husbands are not to be dictators, but servants.

Is abortion, homosexuality, adultery, divorce, and suicide wrong?

Yes.

Wait, didn't that blond haired kid who dressed up like a roller-skate in Saved and was in Home Alone say that Jesus loves everybody?

Yes, but that is not the point. What does love have to do with right and wrong? If I love my child I will tell him not stick his figure in an outlet. There are moral standards that are set in place by God for our protection. If you break one, it is called sin. One of the points in Saved is that we all sin, but it left an empty space about what one is supposed to do about their sin. I really liked the movie by the way. It was bold; had original, yet familiar characters; and it had a good story.

OK everyone sins, I sin, so what am I supposed to do about it?

Realizing you are a sinner is the first step. Everyone in the world is a sinner and is going to Hell, if they do not accept Jesus into their heart. Jesus was sent by God to die for the sins of the worlds. He died on a cross three days later rose again from the dead. The Bible says in Romans 10:9, that if we confess with our mouths the Lord Jesus and believe in our hearts that God has raised him from the dead we will be saved. Simply put, if you tell God that you want Him to be Lord of your life and that you believe what He did on the cross is true and real, Jesus will save you from your sin. If you don't believe, God knows, but the good news is that if you do He also knows that, also.

OK, I know, I am saved from my sin, now what?

That is great! Praise the Lord! You need to find yourself a Bible so that you can get to know God better. Also, you need to find yourself a church where you can learn and grow in your new found faith. You may already know of a church where the people worship God. We can help and pray for you.
