The DOUBLESSE
story starts in 1983 with the importation of SPERANZA GIFT from England.
Gift was given to me by my dear friend Maria Holder of Speranza Pomeranians
and he became my first pom, my first show dog and my first champion owner/handled.
Gift gained his title very quickly and won group first and reserve BIS
at the International Championship show in Palermo in 1984. Three other
male poms were imported from England during the following years including
SIDLYN'S DANCING REFLECTION who became an Italian, International and Club
Champion and my first BIS winner. In 1990 I imported my first pomeranian
bitch who became the foundation of my pomeranian line. Her name was Italian
Champion IRRET'S SPRING JEWEL AT SPERANZA and she was both a great show
dog and a super brood. As a show pom she won two BIS and eleven group firsts
plus many other group placements. She self whelped two litters and out
of three puppies she gave me two champions including my first home bred
BIS winner: Italian Champion FOR YOUR EYES ONLY.
Despite very limited
breeding and showing I have managed to own a few more champions and group
winners with, hopefully, more to come.
In 1997 I got my
first Shih Tzu who later became Italian Champion ELIXIR DI CASA CORSINI
and the winner of three BIS, two Reserve BIS, eleven group firsts and many
other group placements. He sired my first shih tzu litter in 1999 which
contained my first homebred BIS winner in the breed: PUSS IN BOOTS aka
Chicco. Chicco is the winner of several BOB and group firsts. I have bred
a few other shih tzu litters the last being sired by the American import
USA Champion Xeralane Magic Trick.
My dogs live indoors
as pets as that is what I consider them to be. I show and breed on a limited
basis as I like to give all my adults and puppies the individual attention
they need and deserve.
