The Comun Yerge story

The Comun Yerge was discovered by a friend on Sunday morning, January 27th, 2002. He sent the question by email:

Does anybody know what “Comun Yerge” is?

At the time, there was only a single webpage in the entire world, at least according to Google, that you can find the words “Comun Yerge”. It was in Bandwiz’ website. Immediately I understood the importance of this page, and printed it. The actual printout can still be found in a safe place at my home. I will keep it forever. It took me 4 months to scan it back to digital form, using a fax service. You can see original tiff document here.

The text looks reasonable at first sight:

> Comun Yerge

Santa Clara Convention Center, CA

Spring, 2002 (Dates TBD)

Karl Dahlin, VP of Business Development at Bandwiz will be speaking on: “Next-Generation Content Delivery Networks”

Please email [email protected] if you would like to meet with us.

However, a closer look shows it’s perfect. Karl Dahlin was already fired from Bandwiz at the time. The topic was related to something that the CEO specifically said not to talk about at this time (“stealth mode”). The Comun Yerge is a four(!) spelling mistakes of CommVerge (did anyone read it before posting to the website?!). And finally, it is at September, which is hardly spring, at this part of the World anyway. Needless to say that Bandwiz did not go to that convention – there was simply nothing to speak on.

Now, for the complete picture, listen to the song, and, while listening to it in a loop, read the Comun Yerge Spirit. Warning: If you won’t listen to the song you will not understand the full meaning of this whitepaper.

Have fun,

  Doron Rajwan.
