If you are stressed out and need to relax, or are interested in exploring your
inner self, I hold a weekly class in the Lennox Hall, Jamestown, Alexandria,
every Monday evening at 7.30.
I do not promote any particular religious belief, but rather encourage
participants to explore their own spirituality through various visualisations
and meditations.
Breath work and positive affirmations are an important part of the relaxation
process, as are yoga inspired relaxation exercises and stretches.
Crystals and candles add to the ambience, and weekly hand outs provide
hints and tips on yoga stretches and relaxation techniques.
eg, Yule (Winter Solstice), Imbolc, Easter,(Spring Equinox), Beltane, Midsummer
(Summer Solstice), Lammas, Harvest Festival (Autumn Equinox), Samhain
(Halloween). Symbolism features heavily in the meditations, and I use motifs from
many ancient traditions.
The Divine Feminine is an important part of our inner explorations, and Goddess
archetype meditations are very popular.
I believe the Collective Consciousness is a powerful force, and meditations
practiced in groups are particularly effective, as they tap into this power, and
enable class members to attain a deep and profound sense of relaxation.
