Shoko is waiting with Tatsuya in front of Sachi's house, wondering where she has gone. When Sachi returns, she doesn't tell Shoko about what happened with her and Yano, saying that they'll talk later. Back inside her home, Sachi's thinking over what happened and still struggling with her feelings of guilt. She also suspects that Shoko may also be in love with Yano...

At work, Taguchi asks Yano how it went last night. Yano's a little surprised at Taguchi's sudden support but Taguchi tells him how he was rejected by Sachi and she told him that she liked Yano. Yano tells Taguchi how he'd declared himself to her last night and asked her to be his girlfriend, but that she has yet to give him an answer. Yano goes up to the roof where he thinks back to the night before, when he tells her that she doesn't need to reply right away... and how she hesitated and told him that "she's not the person that Yano-san thinks she is..." Sachi then changed the subject, asking if it's the first time he'd fallen into a fountain, saying that she herself has done it before when she was drunk, and asks if he feels put off by someone acting like that... and he replied that he wasn't... Yano's reverie is interrupted by Ikuko running up to him and telling him to "ganbarre".

Ikuko sends in another fax to Shoko's program and she reads it on air. "Iku-chan" thanks Sachi for her advice, writing that she believes it is "now her [Ikuko's] turn on the stage"... Shoko congratulates her and says that she too will "ganbatte" although she worries that her own day may not come.... Taguchi's listening, and thinking that it's Sachi speaking, is puzzled by her words...

As Shoko leaves work, she finds Taguchi waiting outside and assumes he's waiting for Sachi, but it's actually Shoko he's waiting for. He pesters her to go to a caf� with him, saying that he wanted to discuss Sachi and Yano situation with her. He tells her about the incident at the fountain, saying that he doesn't understand why Sachi seems to like Yano but won't accept him... So Shoko now realises what happened that night...

Yano admits to Yukimi that he likes Yuikawa Sachi, but then tells her that he'll always be her papa and that he'll always love her best, no matter what happens, even though she may find him "mendokusai" (bothersome) when she gets older and not want to see him anymore... but Yukimi says that she'll always want to see him. She then asks him if Sachi likes him, and he says that he doesn't know and it may be only one-sided on his part and it seems like he has no luck with women. She tells in mock-severely that "that's no use..." and he apologizes. Junko who's behind them and listening, starts to laugh at this and joins their conversation. She says that she wants to meet Sachi to see what she's like and that Yukimi would too, but Yukimi interrupts, saying "let's make sure it's not one-sided first..." (Poor Yano!!)

Sachi makes too much curry and invites Shoko over for dinner. Sachi tells Shoko about how Yano has declared himself, and Shoko says that she knows from Taguchi already, and that she thinks it's good as everything's out in the open now. But Sachi says it's not good, and they can't be together and she doesn't want to lie to him all the time... she says she knows Shoko also likes Yano, and that "half of Yuikawa Sachi belongs to Shoko", and isn't that what Shoko thinks as well.. theironversation turns emotional (and kind of accusatory) and ends up with Shoko running off, and Sachi crying in her house, while Shoko also breaks down into tears in the street.

Taguchi asks Yano about him and Sachi but Yano says that he hasn't seen her since that night and she hasn't given him an answer yet. At lunch, Shoko avoids Sachi's caf�, and ends up running into Yano at some noodle house. Yano asks about Sachi, commenting on how Shoko and Sachi are such good friends...

Shoko doesn't say anything, but thinks back to the day she first met Sachi, when she was writing her romance scenarios in the caf� and Sachi comes up and starts to read her faxes, saying that she too is called "Sachi", and sharing some of her own romantic disasters with Shoko... and that's how it all began. Shoko also remembers how indignant Sachi was when she found out that the radio station wouldn't allow Shoko to show her face to the public, saying that she was cute, but Shoko managed to calm her down and they started to "collaborate" on Yuikawa Sachi's alias.

All of a sudden, Shoko gets a call from Tatsuya's daycare centre, saying that Tatsuya's missing and they can't get hold of Sachi...

Taguchi's drinking in a caf� with Sachi (it's in the basement which is why her mobile doesn't work) and asks her why she won't accept Yano. He offers to help her, but all Sachi can say is "gomenasai"... As they leave the caf�, Sachi's phone rings and she finds out that Tatsuya's missing. She goes berzerk, running around the streets trying to find a cab.
