The Objectives          

• To promote rural development in order to reduce problem of mitigation of workers from villages to urban areas, unemployment, under employment and general lack of opportunity by providing growth opportunities, training and technologies for rural industrial development as well as to encourage the entrepreneurial capabilities of the rural people on sustainable basis in order to make them self reliant.
   
• To promote afforestation, wasteland development, land reclamation, ground water replenishment, watershed management and other related environment preservation measures including proper housing settlement programme.
   
• To encourage biodiversity programme covering both flora and fauna and to provide a forum for sustainable exploitation of natural biological resources.
   
• To educate and inculcate in members of public at large, awareness about the environment and measures by which the degradation of our environment can be controlled.
   
• To provide for relief measures for victims of natural calamities viz.  earth quake etc. and provide shelter such as dormitories for the benefit of the poor.
